why is it better to use code c9 on the form instead of a6?

Even if you received an EAD (work authorization) stamp at the port of entry, you STILL need to file the

if you use the code a6 then your EAD will be valid for the same time period as your I-94 (90 days from the date you entered the US) as code a6 is for a K1 applicant..... code c9 is for EAD valid for 1 year and is based on your AOS.....

It's 'better' to use the code that applies to the situation, because if you use the wrong code the application is likely to be denied.
