Odd I listened to most of it... It went like this. It was my feeling that it was expected although I had no  knowledge. I did however talk to Trump about it and he made it perfectly clear he didn't expect anything

No, but they left out the part where it was all opinion and assumption.  The actual exculpatory testimony where Sondland actually talked to President Trump, it was made very clear no conditions were expected.  Then of course the Ukraine got the aid, as well as a meeting without making any statements of starting an investigation.  It was interesting though that in a 23 page opening statement by Sondland, he left out the exculpatory statement.

Sondland did recall that at one point he asked Trump what he wants from Ukraine.

 

"He just said, 'I want nothing, I want nothing, I want no quid pro quo,'" Sondland recalled.

I know a man back home who committed insurance fraud. He had a weak rationale that showed how his father had been treated badly by another insurance and shorted his father years ago. He would say, I don't want to cheat the insurance company, I just want what's mine.

 

He could call it whatever he wants, it was still fraud. That is how laws work.

You must be seeing the testimony from an alternate universe.  Sondland CLEARLY said the president didn't want anything from Ukraine, and that it was his (Sondland's) presumption that there was any wrongdoing at all.  He exonerated Trump.

 

"Nobody on this planet told you that Donald Trump was withholding aid to Ukraine unless there were investigations, is that correct?"

 

"Yes."
