Hi, I’m from Davao City.

I was engaged last May this year, my fiancé filed a fiancé visa right away after we got engaged here in ph. It was filed last June and he got approved for fiancé petition this month. The  approval notice say that it should be 3 to 4 weeks prior for medical examinations and interview etc.

my question is, how many days or months do I have to stay in the Philippines after I got approved? Because I’m still studying and will be graduate on May 2020. I was nervous and sad because I might leave sooner than I was expecting and have to stop my study.

You don't have a problem.

The K-1 visa will be good for 6 months from your medical exam.

If you get your medical exam today, November 20, 2019, then your K-1 visa will expire on May 20, 2020.

If your medical is in December, you will be fine.
