Do I need to schedule my interview asap?

Hi all!

 

I received my letter asking me to schedule my interview on the 28th October. As I am currently out of vacation days this year I was hoping to wait until early next year to schedule my health check/interview so that I can keep work happy (I was hoping to transfer to the same company in the U.S when I move so I would like to keep everyone at my work happy and not ruffle any feathers)

 

Am okay waiting 2 months and waiting until next year?

 

Also I've checked the current dates and there is nothing available next year yet. Does anyone know when the dates normally open up?

You probably ought to ask this in the regional forum for your country, as this will depend on interview availability at the consulate/embassy that's handling your case.

 

If you're in a country with somewhat spotty interview availability, you should probably schedule it ASAP. In some countries, getting an interview within six weeks (or probably five, because the last week of December is pretty useless in most countries) isn't very likely anyway.

Out of vacation days but plan to attend  her sister's wedding here in November?

schedule the K1 and go with that and be here next year to say Happy 1st anniversary to them

You realize even if you transfer,  you are not immediately authorized to work on a k1

Thanks but you missed the most important and that is the country you are interviewing in. If it is completed the flag of that country will show in your profile. Just revisit and follow the directions.
