I also sent original as it is requested. as others have mentioned, the CON is delivered separately from the passport. I had to wait a few days before it arrived at my neighbors’ mailbox!

She lived one block away from me, but thankfully I know her and her kids.

It was delivered in a manila envelope, not padded and my CON was wrinkled due to processing and shipment. Hope yours arrive safely soon. Congrats on your successful naturalization.

Wow....  I'm so glad you finally got yours!

Have been reading some stories here - looks like a delivery of the CoN to the wrong mailbox/address happens.

It just makes me so upset that you have to provide the original Certificate with your application . And it would cost you  $555.0 or so if they loose it... Plus who knows how many months to wait.  But you are not given any options or choices to pay and request some kind of priority  or courier delivery when they send it back. Unbelievable - just a manila envelope for  such a valuable  document...

Hi, guys,

I received  Passport on Nov., 12. The Passport card arrived next day, on Nov.13. But I have not gotten my CoN back, yet.

The email I got with a tracking # for the passport states I should give it up to 10 days to receive a proof of my citizenship back.  Ok.

But my friend and I applied at the same day -we actually went together to the same agency. We received our passports and cards on the same days. She got her Birth Certificate (she is a USC by birth) last Friday. I was hoping my Certificate would arrive today. But nope.

Just curios how long it usually take/recently took ???  I understand each case is different, but....  I'm worried a little bit :)

Also, can I update my status with SSA with  my US passport or passport card? Or they will accept only CoN?

Thank you!

OMG Congratulations @Ksenia_O hope you will get your CON soon, my CON arrived on a separate day but I got the it the following day after I received my passport card.
