Hello everyone,

 

I just submitted the aos and IV application package. How long does it take for the NVC to make a decision? and how long usually it takes from NVC to send it over to embassy? (I guess this one depend on interview availability? )

4/19/19: Sending Package to USCIS

5/8/19: NOA1 (USCIS received)

10/3/19: NOA2 (USCIS Approved)

10/10/19: Case sent to NVC

10/22/19: NVC received

11/14/19: Received invoice number and case number and pay AOS + IV bill

11/18/19: Completed DS-260

11/19/19: Submit AOS + IV package to NVC for review (hit the 7 months mark!)

11/21/19: All documents are accepted except tax transcripts. Re-upload it and now upload 1 year per document section.

01/22/20: Document Qualified. NVC send it over to embassy for obtaining interview date.

02/12/20: NVC completed the case. Now the status is in transit to US embassy (Jakarta-Indonesia)

03/05/20: Medical Exam

03/26/20: Interview date!💖 (canceled due to Covid-19 until further notice)

02/25/21: Embassy emailed that they resume IR5 visa

03/01/21: Another medical exam since the last one expired in September 2020

03/15/21: Interview date!🤩 Result: 221G because my mom forget the original doc for my dad's death decree + she needs to redone her photo

03/16/21: submit the necessary paperwork + photo

03/17/21: Status change to administrative processing

03/18/21: Status change to issued. Waiting for email from the embassy for pick up

03/20/21: VISA IS READY!

03/25/21: Fly to US

I am going to assume what you meant by above is you submitted all the documents to NVC for an IR5 case. Generally NVC say 6-8 weeks before your case is documentarily qualified. 

Then yes, they will schedule interview based on Embassy availability.

I had my NVC documents accepted 16 days after submitting, and my friend had hers accepted 6 days after submitting! But I think it usually takes around 6 weeks like USS_Voyager said. Seems like it’s another part of the process that seems just completely random with who gets their papers looked at first

We submitted for NVC docs for both my parents in law IR5 case on Oct 7 and on Nov 25 this morning we got docs qualified DQ email. Took 49 days or 7 weeks and our timeline matches what is on the NVC website's current case review tracker:

 

Current case review time: As of 25-NOV-2019, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 7-OCT-2019.

I-130 JOURNEY FOR 2020 Minor Child of LPR (F2A Online Application, MNL Consular Processing)

07/29/20 Online Filing for I-130, Same day Priority date 
07/31/20 Paper NOA1 mailed by USCIS, received on 08/03/20

07/31/20, 08/15/20, 09/01,20 Expedite Requests denied three times (self-submission and congressman outreach)

09/28/20: I-130 Approved by USCIS, received mailed NOA2 on 10/01/20

10/01/20: NVC electronically receives I-130 petition from USCIS, generates NVC case & invoice number, paid all NVC fees same day

10/05/19: CEAC ready for document uploads

TBD: Waiting for NBI Police Clearance to complete all upload of NVC docs

3/4/20: Immigrant Visa Issued by USEM, 2GO carrier picked up passport from USEM 3/6/20 and delivers to residence on 3/10/20

6/10/20: US POE

6/13/20: SSN card mailed date by SSA, delivered to residence on 6/18/20

07/05/19:  USCIS mailsout biometrics appointment notice with appointment date for 07/24/19, Received biometrics notice letter from USPS 07/11/19
07/12/19: Walk-in biometrics completed

07/18/19: Called USCIS to expedite EAD, Received mailed USCIS instructions on where to fax expedite evidence from USPS 07/26/19 , Faxed requested evidence for EAD expedite  07/27/19
07/31/19: USCIS approves EAD I-765 and Advanced Parole I-131, USCIS mails out combo EAD/ AP card 08/02/19, Received combo EAD/ AP card via USPS Priority Mail 08/07/19

08/08/19: I-485 Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
08/26/19: I-130 Approved (NOA2) by USCIS

12/10/19: FO sends out I-485 interview appointment details for 01/28/20 interview date 

02/06/20: I-485 case approved and NOA2 mailed
02/05/20: Green card ordered, Production and mailed 02/10/20, delivered to residence on 02/12/20

wow..that is a long way to wait then. I re upload my docs on November 21. Lets just hope I hear anything before the end of the year. Thank you for your link by the way :)

We just got an email from NVC saying our interviews scheduled yesterday December 18 for January 6. So in all, it was a full 91 days from the time we finished uploading all the docs to CEAC (Oct 7, 2019) to when the interview actually occurs (Jan 6, 2020). I've also updated my signature. All the best to you

this is great news! and congrats to reach the interview stage 😍

I will keep praying that I will received the DQ notice no later than the end of January. Best of luck for you too
