Visa Notification

Hello,

I'm hoping to hear from folks who've been through the visa process in Georgetown Guyana.

So, we had our interview and were approved.  😊They handed us a paper telling us Visa would be ready within 5 days.

There are some people on this site who are currently here in Guyana as well......

We were told that we would be receiving an email when the visa is ready for pickup. The email would be delivered to where we registered. Would that be ceac.state.gov site? That is the site for visa application....but it also says visa status check. When I looked it said Ready/Administrative Processing....Anyone knows what that means?

Thank you!

got this from the US embassy site in Guyana.  If you provided your personal email, they should email you there? check your junk mail too. the website is good to check status.  If the ocuntry has multiple location to pick up visa, then you were probably told to pick one and that is where you will go to pick up the visa. all i could find is the address i provided below. everyone goes through AP process, so don't worry, just keep checking and it will change soon.

If your visa application is approved, the Consular Officer will provide a Visa Delivery Instruction Notice advising you to pick-up your visa at the local Document Service Center (DSC), located at 345 Middle and East Streets, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown

We just got back from Guy...if by the 5th day you dont see "issued"....you should go to the doc ctr.....we went with the paper they give you when approved....visa wasnt there and they told us to go to the embassy...long story short...our approved visa was at the embassy. They apologized gave visa to him within 15 min....from there we took a cab to Caribbean Airlines office on Regent street and changed our flt to next avail following morning to Ft Lauderdale--we were not gonna stay in that mosquito plaqued, boring place not one min longer than we had to. ...so if no email or change to "issed" by 5th day....start following up in person....today is the 23rd and our status still says Ready/Admin Processing.....smh....Good luck!!
