Hello community! Me and my fiance are applying for a K1 visa, received our NOA 1 in Sep 20th 2019. The problem is that I'm a little bit worried about getting an RFE because I have read that it's common in RFE. Should I get prepared to receive an RFE? If I get it, should I resend a new I-129F package or only the mistakes marked in the RFE? Thank you for reading.

Hello Carolina,

Until you receive anything all you can do is wait. If you do receive an RFE read it carefully and complete the request back to USCIS. People are able to move forward after completing an RFE but your delay does not necessarily mean you will receive an RFE.

Yes, I think I am over thinking about it. I'll wait for the notices whatever it is. Thank you! ❤

Well first 2months after you submit your documents is the most difficult as you rethink all kinds of scenarios. My advice is concentrate on other aspects of your life... Work on your relationship etc... The fact is nobody really knows what you will get an RFE for or not... Sometimes you send all that is needed but documents get missing all the time... Concerning N/A I would say don't worry too much about it as far as you did answer all the questions... You submitted already make peace with it and Good luck

We filled out ours without the N/A thing and we didn't receive an RFE.  All you can do is wait, on the bright side petitions are being approved faster now in comparison to last year.

It's very unlikely that you will get an RFE for not writing N/A or none in fields that were actually not applicable (especially ones that fillable PDF won't let you type in if previous answers make not applicable).

We didn't, at any rate.

I'm of the opinion that the official instructions are out of date on this.

That's a relief. We answered all the questions that concerns to us. But left the rest in blank. Thank you❤

This is a good question that I looked for the answer to. I am mailing my form tomorrow and I did a combo of "not applicable" and blank. If there were a yes or no question before hand and my answer meant I didn't have to fill anything out, I left it blank. But if it was truly not applicable (my fiance has no middle name, neither does his parents) I put "not applicable". I also only put "not applicable" one the first item of each section that I didn't need to fill out.  I'm hoping I made the right choice!

i learned a long time ago... not to stress over what has already been sent. You get an RFE for something or you don't.

We never received a single RFE, but there are certainly areas where we COULD have. call it luck or an oversight on their part, a combination of the two, or simple paranoia over nothing.

Relax and deal with it if it happens.

fwiw, i used a combination of N/A or blank spaces, depending on the question

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

ROC

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

10/16/21 Received at PO Box

10/19/21 Received Text NOA1

10/23/21 Received Mailed NOA1
