I traveled with my "prorroga" to US and Italy and nothing happened, my entrance was ok. I think you should ask for it, because it is way more difficult to ask for a new passport. And very risky to think about the 5 years extension with no stamp. My "sticker"has security a hologram on it. Hundreds of people are living Venezuela everyday at the end of the day, and many of them use the prorroga.

You cannot interview for a K1 at any embassy. You can do it for other types of non immigrant visas though.
the reason is because you have to provide either citizenship or legal residency in the third country.  I’m telling you this because I was part of the first group of people who  were interviewed in Bogotá this year. My appointment was cancelled in Caracas and the instructions were clear. All cases will be transferred to Bogotá  with the exception of Venezuelans living abroad and who could prove legal residency in the other country.

Well my fiance and me were going to apply in Rome at first. He works at the US embassy, we asked them personally about it and they say it was ok. It is up to embassy if they accept your case, as you can read in the I-129F instructions. I don't live in Italy, he does. At the end we decided to apply in Bogota because we were not sure about the time the K1 visa will be done and he having orders to move to US again soon. There's also cases of Venezuelans applying in Dominican Republic, and Panama.

I am an Italian citizen also. And my case wasn't accepted at the Italian consulate because I had too many years without living in Italy. So I couldn't prove residence. Again, any visa that's processed by the immigrant visa unit requires you to prove residence in that said country.   If I can find the email with those instructions I'll post it here.

Actually, before everyone jumps on it....... we have met. but i read the requirements wrong. I thought it said we had to meet twice.

But still we are wanting to see each other again. she didnt talk to me about these issues before because she had lots of time left on her passport extension.

Ok so the requirement: The couple must prove that they have physically met in person at least once within the last 2 years. This doesn’t mean they need to know each other for 2 years, just that within the last 2 years, they have met.

Then if you have met you can apply for a k1, the more you meet in person is better. I met with my husband 3 times , twice before applying and 1 more time before the interview. It was more of a personal decision, we couldn't stand expending so much time apart and also to make our relationship stronger. It's also highly advised here to see each other multiple times in person because it improves your chances of getting approved.

So the cases for Venezuela that have Venezuelans living in Venezuela are rerouted by the National Visa Center to Bogotá.  If you are a Venezuelan and you have been living in a different country, NVC will send your case to the embassy of the country you are currently residing. It's not a personal decision to where your case in going to be processed, you have to show proof of  residency in the country where the case is going to be processed, with the exception of Bogotá for Venezuelan residents.
