Scheduling Visa Interview before P3 or P4

Hi, I was wondering if it’s possible to schedule the interview before P3 is received. For the China embassy P3 only tells you to do the DS-160(which is the step before interview), send two passport size photos, and send passport photo page. Then after they receive that, they’ll send P4 which tells you tell you to schedule the interview and the list of documents to bring with you (which we already know what to bring). I heard that for scheduling the interview, aftrr doing the DS160 and paying the fee, you only need the payment receipt number, the applicants name and other info, and specifically the case number (which you get from NVC correct?). So if we have the NVC case number, which you can get before they even send your file to the consulate, can’t we schedule the interview in advance then?

As that requirements/instructions can often be rather specific at this stage of the process, suggest that you ask your Guangzhou-specific inquiry at the China Regional Forum, https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

(祝您在移民途中好运。)

you can if you know the site where to register and sign-on for payment/interview schedule appointment. however, P3 specifically says do not schedule your interview without their go-signal. you can defy this instruction but we do not know what will be the consequence of such action.

let us know if you proceed without the P3/P4.
