Can a high-risk pregnancy be a reason to expedite an expedited case?

Pregnancy generally is not a reason to expedite, but it could be looked at on a case-by-case basis.  Can you give us more details?

Posted (edited)

No harm in requesting it. As noted, pregnancy alone is not a basis for an expedite. Medical conditions may or may not on a case by case basis.

Edit: Note that expedites still take months before a visa will be issued, even if there are no hurdles.

El embarazo generalmente no es una razón para acelerar, pero se podría considerar caso por caso. ¿Puede darnos más detalles?

My wife is the petitioner and 1 month ago we realized her state of pregnancy, she and I live outside the USA, we have 3 letters from different doctors recommending to be as soon as possible in use with her family and my support because here she does not have medical insurance and USA yes

Well, there is nothing stopping her from returning to the USA.  It may be difficult for you to present your expedite case, as the hardship must be to the USC.

she, as the USC,  can return before the last 3 months (since high risk she should have notes from drs allowing travel)

she will have family support here

she can apply for the case to be expedited but pregancy of the USC wife is not usually a good reason

begs the following questions
1  she does not have US residency?

2   she does not have insurance for this pregnancy ?  how is she suppose to show she can buy health care insurance for you?

3   she working and how does she show enough income to support the AOS?

as her husband ,  you need to take the responsibility and pay for this pregnancy and new baby/ many babies -even high risk - are born in your country

OP states she does have health insurance in the US, and as a USC she can return anytime, without regard to residency.

For "USCIS "it is not important the health of her or the baby

Ok, thanks, I am not going to process the expedient, I thought that for me, the health of my wife and the baby was of no importance since this situation has us very bad since we do not have the support of your family, we are very young and it is our first experience

Unfortunately I very much doubt it.. even something as minor as gestational diabetes, or family history of premature birth, places you into the high risk category..as a usc there is nothing stopping her from going home to have the baby with appropriate health care, she’ll have family etc there to support her...

in saying that, you can try but be sure to add plenty of evidence specific to your case, possibly plead hardship to her, but I think that would only apply after she’s returned to USA... on the down side, that too will impact on her ability to support you, so you’d, need secondary sponsors also

@Jioa immigration aside, even if you don’t apply to expedite your case, if your wife has a high risk pregnancy, it’s best for her to be in the states with proper (insured) healthcare. Although you may not be here it’s good she has family here to care for her.

That is to say that I have a chance of being approved? When the issue is denied, do I think you are notified in a week?
