I get it.  Do you have to live in the Tri-Cities?

Yes we have to stay in this area but we plan on getting a house further out which will be great ... I come from a town of less than 700 so I really look forward to that there's just too many people here. The realtor is coming tomorrow and hopefully we'll get our house sold quickly

Oh!  I thought maybe you didn't like it because it is small and conservative vs. Seattle.  Best of luck with the house sale!  I'm not sure if the market is at all similar there, but here in Western Washington, inventory is low and prices are still ridiculous.

The orices are crazy here too .. a lot of people move here and not enough houses. Tri-cities have pretty much the number of people as the second largest city in Denmark 😳😂

When I applied for green card in 2015 (marriage based), it took 9 months from start to finish. Before me, a friend of mine got it for 6 months (2012). The "me" from 2015 would NOT believe the wait time for AOS right now. But well back before 2016 it would only take 6-8 months to process N400. Now I'm stuck in this man-made "backlog."

Back then Seattle was also booming, with a lot of immigrants applying for AOS and N400. They just used to process it faster.

2015-03-23 AOS filed

2015-12-29 AOS approved

2017-10-03 I-751 filed

2018-10-02 N400 filed

2020-07-16 I-751 & N400 approved. Sworn in as a US citizen.

2020-07-16 Registered to vote & applied for passport

2020-07-20 Voted!
