F2-A in Iraq

Hi All,

We filed the petition for my husband this week - woohoo, let the wait begin.

Anyone here with experience petitioning for Iraqi spouse? I'm curious about the process once it reaches NVC. For instance I don't think that my husband would be able to receive his package via mail to his house hehehe. Street names in Baghdad are funky and I am yet to see a postman in the streets.

I'm also wondering about the interview. I anticipated this to be in Baghdad, but when I created a timeline here on VisaJourney, Baghdad didn't show as an option and when I leave the field blank it defaults to Armenia.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Rabea & Hayder

While I'm not familiar at all with the embassy in Baghdad, I suspect whatever documents they provide your husband, it will be via e-mail. That's what is done in many countries with not-so-dependable mail systems. I really doubt they'll mail him anything.
