No X-rays given for port of entry

My husband got an X-ray in an unsealed envelope.  I sort of panicked when I realized I took it home with je after joining him at his interview.  No one asked for it.

POE doesn’t read x rays.  The instruction to carry them is outdated but still published.  It’s not useful later for anything at all.

and i believe now they only do xrays if the tb blood test comes up abnormal. our filing process was slightly different, but we received no xrays at his medical and when we asked about it they said they only do it now if theres something abnormal with the blood test.

Everyone gets X-rays still.

Still a routine in Germany and I'm quite certain that there's no high rate of tb 😉

Same with New Zealand.

what the doc told us (and his aos was approved, so, whatever the case is, it wasn't an issue for us lol)

Ah, you are referring to the Civil Surgeon exam. That is correct. At my Civil Surgeon exam, he said the lab he uses could take up to 2 days to return the blood test results. He offered the X-ray as a same day alternative to comply with the TB check requirement.

If true it must be location limited because most are still routinely xrayed

Yup, all Panel Physicians routinely do X-rays. @debbiedoo's husband did AOS from tourist status, not consular processing.

Almost 3 times the US rate. 8 in 100 000 vs 3 in 100 000. Neither is high of course, but still, there is a difference.
