So? That means my experience is pointless? It is as valid as any other person's. It is one experience.

All I am saying is that I have one experience that is different from another person's. Just because I'm from California doesn't mean my experience is worth more or less than anyone else's. Plus, I never said that all my friends I've spoken with about the election are in California.

All I am saying is that you are in a bubble, so inevitably you will see things skewed. I saw the same thing when I spent a lot of time in Boulder, sort of feeds off itself and you do not realise what is happening outside.

Obviously Trump has many supporters under 35.

I don't know anyone my age (34) or younger who would even consider voting for Trump. You and I are anecdata. We know who we know, and that's not an accurate sample of the country. You can't say your experience actually is  worth more than mine, they have the same value. (I'm guessing that I'm younger than you, and also guessing my circle of friends and acquaintances is also younger than yours, too.) We are both correct but only in our own experience.

You may not know anyone in that age group, but they are out there.  I happen to know quite a few.

Its means you live in the most liberal area of a very liberal state, in which saying you support Trump can be dangerous. I doubt you will meet a lot of out of the closet Trump supporters of any age. I know loads of under 34 trump supporters. Your experience is yours and valid. Not trying to marginalize you dear.

They are definitely both valid, I just think its interesting and just shows how sick people are of typical politicians that dabble in election fixing (that both republicans and democrats have shown they dabble in from time to time). But yes, my friend group is obviously an anecdote for the super young, who someone like Yang, Bernie etc appeal to most and probably wont vote for anyone but them. I'm in my early 20s. These people who said they would vote for trump too, dont always (although sometimes) exactly love trump, they just like him better than someone than say, Biden or Hillary. Take that as you will, just interesting.

I'm sure you do. Which is kind of the point I'm making.

Thank you! You get it. :) And totally agree with you. (And lol at me thinking you were older, my apologies. Btw, 30s are better than your 20s. :D :P You'll enjoy them.)

Apparently Manchin, Sinema, and Jones are all considering an acquit vote.. sadface. Comical. 😂

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/28/trio-democratic-senators-consider-acquit-trump-108130

Quote

A trio of moderate Senate Democrats is wrestling with whether to vote to convict Donald Trump in his impeachment trial — or give the president the bipartisan acquittal he’s eagerly seeking.

Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Doug Jones of Alabama are undecided on whether to vote to remove the president from office and are “struggling” over where to land, said Manchin. It’s a decision that could have major ramifications for each senator’s legacy and political prospects — as well shape the broader political dynamic surrounding impeachment heading into the 2020 election.

Quote

One or more senators may end up splitting their votes, borrowing a move from Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine), who voted for the abuse of power charge but against the one on obstruction of Congress.

Manchin said he will do that only if he “can explain one and not the other.” Jones has been mildly critical of the obstruction impeachment article and says he’s “troubled” the House didn’t fight harder to hear from critical administration witnesses.

Manchin insisted Tuesday he hasn’t figured out where he will come down. And won’t until the trial ends.

“I know it’s hard to believe that. But I really am [undecided]. But I have not made a final decision. Every day, I hear something, I think ‘this is compelling, that’s compelling,’” Manchin said in an interview. “Everyone’s struggling a little bit.”

Many in the Capitol believed Manchin had run his last campaign in 2018, freeing him to vote however he wants. He insisted he still will, but also didn’t rule out running for the Senate again in 2024: “I have no idea. I swear to God. buddy. I don’t.”

However, the most immediate pressure is on Jones, an unlikely Democratic senator from the Deep South fighting for his political life this fall with no good options: Republicans will batter him if he votes to convict the president, Democrats will rebel if he votes to acquit. In his front office on Tuesday, his phone rang repeatedly as aides answered questions about impeachment witnesses.

Murkowski evidently leaning toward no witnesses after a talk from Mitch.

Romney and Collins even considering this still, have some TDS issues to overcome.

Even though Sinema, Manchin, and Jones are talking about defecting, it's going to be like Kavanaugh where, if they do, they'll go the Manchin route and do it when the outcome is already figured out.

On the bright side, they're now on the record that if they attempt to go to a Senate trial decision and fail (meaning more "witnesses"), they want to hear from Hunter, the Whistleblower, etc. Of course, there's no reason to.
