I just went to the Office here in Las Vegas for my interview this morning - after going security and handing my invite to the girl I was told my interview was cancelled as they hadn't received my file from storage (not convinced by this as it was very um, ahh, and this was all without even looking me up on the system) - my wife is due to have hers later today also and I was told that they did have hers.

So I guess im now stuck in limbo - I guess im waiting at least another 2 months for it to be rescheduled? Is there nothing that can be done to try and expedite the rescheduling.

I am not aware of any way to expedite the re-scheduling of the interview.  I have heard a few stories that sounded similar though, not that this is much comfort.

Hopefully, you will get a relatively quick re-schedule.

Good Luck!

Hi Studentss

ao you will get sent a formal cancellation of your interview in a week or 2.  I got sent my reschedule of interview a few days before Christmas - and my rescheduled appointment is next Thursday (23rd) so almost 2.5 months after the original appointment.

my wife has gor here ceremony date as 14Feb.  I’m hoping if all goes well next week that I can get on that same one. Does anyone know.if that will work timescale wise?

Some people have had oath the same day as interview if there is one scheduled. So fingers crossed. You can ask at the interview if it's likely you'll be in the Feb 14 batch.

So i guess i should give an update and closure to this thread.

My appointment went ahead the second time on Jan 23rd - It actually lasted maybe 10 minutes at the most.. All was great and was approved. The IO was really good when i explained the scenario and he said he would do everything he could to get me on the same ceremony as my wife..  A week later i got my Oath invitation letter to that same ceremony and on Friday both my wife and I became Citizens..
