I had my medical in September ahead of my interview in October. When we went for the interview it was cancelled and I was asked if I wanted to submit anything while we were there so I submitted the sealed medical.

Now I don't know when my new interview will be and I'm a little worried that they will expect me to have had a flu shot as it is now flu season (and maybe still will be whenever I am rescheduled). Also, I was not immune to mumps and received the first MMR shot. Typically a second shot is administered 30 days later but as there were less than 30 days remaining until my interview this was marked as 'insufficient interval' on the vaccination supplement, with the administering of the first shot noted.

Will my current vaccination supplement still stand when I attend my new interview or do I need to get a flu shot and complete the MMR? As my I-693 is already submitted can I take proof of these from the same clinic if I do need to get them? Or am I going to need to pay for a whole new medical?

Thank you, as always.

You were given waivers on your immunization form at the medical.

  • Insufficient time interval (to get another MMR)
  • Not flu season

Those waivers will stand. You need nothing further. You never have to get them if you don't want to.
