Hillary Clinton has said she is "under enormous pressure" to challenge US President Donald Trump in next year's White House election.

The former Democratic presidential nominee refused to rule it out, telling the BBC: "Never say never."

Mrs Clinton, 72, said she thinks "all the time" about what kind of president she would have been if she had beaten Mr Trump in 2016.

Seventeen Democrats are already vying to lead the party in 2020.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Emma Barnett while in the UK on a book tour, Mrs Clinton was asked whether she would run again.

Who is wound up?  I certainly would not vote for her in a primary or otherwise, but I'll bet there are a lot of Democrats out there that would.  Additionally, the Dems need to balance out the top tier of their candidates, right now it is two old rich white guys vs one old rich white woman, why not get a second old rich white woman in there.

The US public for years has seen, like it or not, Hillary as a lawyer/attorney/consultant, First Lady, US Senator, and Secretary of State. Also Presidential candidate multiple times. There's a reason she hasn't gotten over the top, and that's because the American public sees her as corrupt. And nothing was more instrumental in proving that then her actions in recent years in the 2016 party primaries, in the general election, and, post-election, being a willful participant in efforts to undermine democratic elections. All of those other corrupt people she surrounds herself with, the corrupt people who support her, coincidentally feel the same way about Trump. Even the corrupt Republicans, the Bush-type neocons, the ever-demonized Koch family, are buddies with Democrats now. 

 

Of all the people to accidentally reveal the depth of corruption in US politics, I would've never guessed it would be Trump. I thought the rule of law was in trouble under Bush, seeing no one but Libby get punished for the trillions of dollars and more deaths than 9/11 itself, but this is like a five alarm fire. Trump wasn't exactly a clean guy himself, we all know this. The problem is, he wasn't in the "accepted" group of candidates, which was clear in the GOP primaries. It was clear the same elites (media, government, members of Congress, etc.) that wanted Hillary to win also wanted Jeb, Lindsay, Kasich, or even Marco or god forbid, Ted Cruz to win. Plenty of Democrat voters saw what happened to Bernie, what she and the corrupt party, corrupt media, that tried to hand her the nomination, did, still do today, as virtually none of them have learned from 2016, which is why we're still talking about it. It's actually somewhat promising how much contempt and disdain for these corrupt elites people across the political spectrum had, and how bipartisan it still is. 

 

I would wager that those who desperately want people to "move on" from what Hillary has done, the damage to the Republic she and this small but ridiculously powerful and influential swath of elites, across both major parties (e.g. Congress), in the media, in the federal government, have done (and are still doing).. I'd wager they're doing so because they have difficulty coping with the 2016 election result, and rather than come to grips with why, after the conspiracy ####### failed, just want it to go away. The inability to cope with reality is precisely what these people are banking on.
