You can do either or. It sounds like if you don't have a job offer they are going to deny the expedite request anyway. If you don't reply, the request will simply die out. Whatever you chose it or not, it is not going to affect your EAD case or slow it down.

I don't think people are being judgement. It is that we see, way too many times, people who chose the K1 and completely ignore the bad things about the K1... like not being able to work or leave the country for months. Then when things get rough they sometimes complain or try things like expediting. This is one of the things that make the K1 visa suck and not worth it. Things like bills and debt can mount up while you are waiting to start to make a living.

If it is not going to affect my EAD case, then I would rather not respond at all. I was just thinking that the request dying out will take longer than request denial, and expedite request denial would put my case back sooner on the regular processing timeline? No?

And I totally agree with you about the K-1 Visa and what you're saying. If I could go back in time I would totally go for the Spouse visa route.

Anyone who is reading this and hasn't applied yet, be aware of all the drawbacks of the K-1 Visa, and I would advise you to go for the Spouse Visa route instead, K-1 Visa sucks!

Really.
Do you have a job offer or not?

Otherwise the best advice is to get a pair of scissors and cut up those credit cards.

Thanks for your advice.

Get a job offer and send it in.

I requested expedite for my EAD on November 6th based on severe financial loss, I gave the reasoning that I have credit card bills and rent to pay and it's difficult to do so without a job, I heard back today and they are requesting me to fax a pending job offer. I don't have a pending job offer, what should I do?  Should I not send anything and wait for it to get approved as per the normal processing or should I send my credit card bills and rent receipts and a cover letter explaining that I can get a job once I get EAD? Any advice is welcome!

Credit cards, rent etc is why there is an Affidavit of Support... your sponsor should be helping you cover these types of day to day expenses, during your immigration process that you both signed up for, the joy of K1 and part of being in a relationship... for better or worse remember...

AOS Journey

  • I-485 etc filed 23 April 2020
  • NOA1 I-485 June 3 2020
  • NOA1 EAD 23 April 2020
  • Biometrics 5 Jan 2021
  • EAD approved 12 March 2021
  • Interview Completed 24 March 2021
  • EAD Card Received 1 April 2021
  • Case under review 2 April 2021
  • New Card is Being Produced 25 September 2021
  • 10 Year Green Card Approved and Mailed 27 September 2021 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Agreed, but you didn't answer the question.

The question has been answered multiple times.  No, you can't expedite the EAD for credit card bills and rent.

The question is should I respond to USCIS or no? Sorry if my post wasn't clear enough for you.

Since you are specifically asked to send a job offer and you don’t have one, just don’t send anything. But it’s a good thing you submitted the request (regardless of the outcome) because the case officer would surely look at your file again base on that request. You’re also a June filer and in NY which means requesting for an expedite at this time is appropriate. I will suggest you have your mind set on the end of December to hear anything from them. And you can even get an interview scheduled (in place of the EAD) that is if you submitted your AOS together with your EAD.

NOTE: Your request even if it’s rejected wouldn’t go unnoticed. You would most likely hear from them within a month. Count on that !

Good luck !

No since you don't have a written job offer.  That has also been answered many times.  Sorry if it wasn't clear enough for you.

If it was already answered so many times, then why did you feel like you had to respond with something that wasn't even asked?

Thank you @CharleneB!!!! You are one of the very few people here who actually understand instead of removing their own personal frustration on someone else's misery. I really appreciate it.

As you advised I won't respond to USCIS and hope they approve the request by December. I doubt I would get an interview scheduled notice because the processing times for NYC Manhattan are crazy! But I know some files are being transferred to the Queens office so you never know.

Anyway, thank you again!!!
