but answering no to these questions might lead to rejection or delaying n-400 approval.i posted here thinking I would get view of people who either filed or in process of filing n-400 and from there I might be able to answer these questions better but since we are not expert in US law we don't know exactly implications of answering no or yes.perhaps only lawyer can tell that what are implications of answering yes or no to this questions and I cannot afford lawyer.i don't want my application to get rejected or delayed

Totally understand your concerns, you may be overthinking it but as it is such a big part of your life (mine too, I have other concerns for my application) that answering anything 'wrong' that could delay/deny means you take extra care.

I personally am going to put yes to it all & hope that I don't get asked to do any of it at any point in the future (being over 40 may help).

Uhm I am not sure that’s the right approach to it. You should really mean it. I wonder what about your home country? Do you feel you owe her a higher obligation ? Not judging, just asking a question to satisfy my own curiosity.

I am doing this because I have a wife and daughter and I'm the only one earning right now so if anything was to happen to me then I have to upend my family to the other side of the world. And with the way things are now, my record could cause that to happen sadly.

I mean, with all due respect to peoples' personal believes and preferences, if you're not willing to defend the country you willingly (not by birth or any other accident), willingly want to be a citizen of, why bother becoming one?

Not  everyone has the courage to bear arms for their  country. Even the sitting President feigned sickness when called upon
