Hey Everyone!

My spouse and I's CR1 Visa documents (NVC Stage) were approved on the 25th of October but we haven't heard anything back from NVC yet - it has been almost 3 weeks. We are waiting on NVC scheduling an interview at the US Embassy in London for us.

Just wondering if anyone from the UK has had a similar experience and when can I expect to have the interview arranged? I was hoping to be back with my spouse before Christmas which is still possible with luck.

Thanks in advance!

My dear you just have to wait I’m my DQ was October 28 for F2a.  still here waiting for interview for Jamaica it’s all a waiting process

Interview scheduling in Jamaica is not pertinent to interview scheduling in UK.  OP, you may get better answers about interview wait times if you post on the UK forum.

F2A is not processed for interviews same as CR1 either, since CR1 is always available. OP, definitely try on the UK forum as Jorgedig said, and also you may want to view the timelines of other recent UK CR1 filers to see how long it was from DQ to interview for them

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)

We did hear back! They informed us on the 16th of November that our interview was on the 20th of December. Therefore it took us approximately 3 weeks from Documentarily Qualified to receiving an interview date AT LDN embassy. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your reply! Did you schedule your medical examination after you heard back regarding interview date? I am wondering whether I can just go ahead and secure a spot now before the interview date is assigned. Thanks!
