K1 visa extension after reschedule an interview

Hi everyone!

 

I need your help...

 

My interview was supposed to take place this week but I had to postpone it to mid-December (only date available).

 

The problem is : The 4 month period for the petition validity goes until the end of november. I asked an extension of my K1 visa petition by email to the consulate but I didn’t have an answer.

 

Will they do it automatically? Do I have to send something else? 

 

This situation is very stressful and I need your opinion about it!
