which marriage certificate did you upload? was it a court one or what?

Check on https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html for what Civil Documents may be required for your country.  It would be different for every country.

We were married in Costa Rica and USCIIS and NVC have very specific requirements that a Costa Rica marriage Certificate should be a certified copy with the stamp and seal of Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones Registro Civil and signed by an official of that government agency.  Along with a certified English translation of the Spanish document.  We had it Apostilled to but that probably wasn't necessary for USCIS or NVC.  (Was required separately for Philippine Embassy)

We submitted EXACTLY what they requested and all was well.

so when it goes to NVC, we do the affidavit and such, I'll have a sponsor.

Will he upload everything online since its i130 online or mail it in or what?

Can someone please share some info about the process once it hits the NVC stage?

Thank you and I really appreciate it.

A big thank you to @Jeanne Adil for kindly posting this elsewhere for someone and it has been a great source of education for my husband and I in understanding the entire process. I hope this helps you too.

I believe an online application is that, yes, all evidence submitted online.

I only shared the above link for you as you were enquiring about the NVC stage. Personally unsure of that and don't have an answer for you, hence hoping the link will answer your query🙂

Perhaps someone else can.

Whether the I-130 is filed online or via mail, the affidavit of support form(s) + financial documents + civil documents all have be submitted to NVC via upload to the CEAC site.  There may be a few consulates that still do offline submission of documents at NVC stage, but I don't know which consulates (if any).

Any other mid/late February filers still in the first phase? We filed on 2/27, got our change of status updated to "Actively Reviewed" on 3/16 and status hasn't changed since. End of this month will be 5 months and I'm interviewing for new jobs in the US and getting a little nervous about not having her green card right away. The companies are understanding and will probably let me work from overseas, but I'd love to stay in the US (we're in the US now visiting) and get my wife on my health insurance as soon as I get hired.

Our case has been getting actively reviewed for over 6 months now (since 1/6) 🙄  We filed mid December. Are you sure your case is still at NSC and didn’t get transferred instead?
