We got Nebraska and can see everything online regarding our I-130... the actual form we filed and also all uploads requested by them and also additional evidence that we uploaded.

I am beginning to think all online filers go to Nebraska or Texas. Have we seen anyone go to Potomac (considered to be the fastest center)?

Not sure about their logic for assigning. They did transfer lot of cases from Nebraska to other Centers. Potomac was the fastest upto June. Then they kinda stopped processing so Texas got ahead of them. Started seeing July approval from Potomac last week.

If you read back through this thread you will see people who filed online who have been assigned to Potomac, petitions are still assigned to the service centers as per USCIS’ normal criteria

  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)

Another questions for everyone - If the previous address or work history of the beneficiary doesn't fit the I-130A form, do you upload another pdf/addendum for it?

Just use the additional information section at the back of the form.

If it is not enough?

I am wondering if you read the instructions?

From the I-130 Instructions:

If you need extra space to complete any item within this petition, use the space provided in Part 9. Additional Information or attach a separate sheet of paper; type or print your name and A-Number (if any) at the top of each sheet; indicate the Page Number, Part Number, and Item Number to which your answer refers; and sign and date each sheet.

Yes, I did. Now when you are applying on-paper you can "attach a separate sheet of paper", how does one do that when applying online? Hope you get my questions now. Upload another document called "addendum", or add extra sheet of paper and merge them with the I-130A pdf form? Any other way?

Upload another document called "addendum",

I know with the I-130 you can upload an attachment.   I haven't had to do the I-130A online but presume it is the same way.

Hi, I'm thinking about filing our forms online but a little worried because we're abroad. Has anyone filed from abroad? I've been following this topic for a few days but it's hard to tell.

It’s definitely convenient but if I had advice to give people filing online V paper I’d 100% do paper. The online filing way still has a lot of kinks that need ironing out and had to contact USCIS when we noticed this. It’s entirely up to you though.

I haven't filed from abroad, but found online filing much more convenient.

Hi! We are abroad and we filed online. I recommend! Much easier and safer, you don't have to worry about shipping documents to the states and you get your receipt (NOA1) almost immediately

Where did it say what service centre on your 'Receipt Action'. I'm so confused where to find my service centre..

We applied early yesterday morning and got our receipt with service center this morning. With the dreaded Nebraska service center address on lower left corner. See picture
Been a pretty sad day for my husband and I after finding out our service center😢😞
