Hello Guys,

I hope someone can help me about a case of not having any vaccination record to provide for medical exam. I cannot pull out my old record from my home country.

What could be a possible option?

How much does the medical exam cost you?

Is it a requirement to provide the Medical Exam along with the I-485 form, or it can be submitted and to be followed or I can bring it for future interview?

Looking forward for your response about my concern.

Thanks and God bless y’all.

Is not possible take a photo or something?

Probable they will ask you to took some vaccines.

My exams cost about $300 (more or less) including some vaccines.

Of you take a look in the USCIS website you will find it. Searching for the specific information about the medical exams for your country.

Good luck

Hi, I called a couple of doctors near me and the cost for a medical exam ranged from $250 to $300. If I need any vaccinations, I would have to pay for them on top of the exam fee. It is better to have your vaccination record but it is not necessary as long as you can afford all the vaccinations.  As far as I know, it is more common to get the exam done before the interview, meaning not submitting it with 485. I was advised by one of the doctor's office that I should do the exam after I get my interview date as the 693 form has to be signed within 60 days of the submission. Good luck

I could not get my vaccination record.

The medical cost me $175. In addition I also underwent testing for immunity to various diseases, and was vaccinated for one I was not immune to, along with a tetanus shot since I hadn't had one in the previous ten years.

The total cost was in the region of $450. I had my medical performed after I received my interview date. I submitted the sealed medical when I attended for the interview.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience related to this matter. Surely a big help. I thought that by attaching the medical exam is a requirement with the I 485. God bless you. 💕

I found an affiliated civil surgeon nearby, and he mentioned that I can go to the clinic like Healthcare unit and do my vaccinations for free or might be cheaper price. I will visit one of those within the week and then just follow what they’ve advised about getting my medical exam after I get my interview date. Thank you for  sharing your experience. God bless you 💕

I went to my county's department of health, they had titers and vaccines cheaper than at a clinic - $25 for MMR (3 titers), but it takes couple of weeks because they don't use Quest. The other option was to get a booster, but that one was around $100. Anyway, I found that dept of health was cheaper than anywhere else if you have no insurance coverage for immunizations.

Just sharing my experience. I also didn't have access to my vaccination record but I knew which vaccines I had received as a baby. I was on a J-1 visa so I had insurance with Kaiser. I asked them to take blood tests to prove that I was immune and I also had hepatitis shots with them. My medical exam was only $150 because I took care of the vaccines before hand.
