Hello everyone, I hope any of you could help me.
I am currently a Colombian citizen and my husband a US citizen.

We are filling the form I130, there they ask us for my last name and if I have used others. I am planing on changing my single last name legally in Colombia but first I want to have my green card.  I have heard that some people put their marriage name on the form even if they haven’t legally change it, is that legal?

if my question isn’t clean what I am asking is can I put my marriage name on the form even if I haven’t legally change my single last name to my marriage name and clearly I will not have any documentation saying that I got my last name changed. I want my green card to have my marriage name but I will no be able to change it legally can I still put my marriage name anyway?

You can change your name on the I130 as USCIS recognizes all US marriage certificates as legal name change documents.  Now that is not true of all countries, but if you want your GC with your married name, then you are perfectly fine filling out the forms accordingly.
