Hello everyone, thank you for helping me or directing me to the right answer/place. After almost 2 years my i130 got approved then transferred to NVC, about a month or so later they email me and spouse with the online part. I paid fees then the applicant part says start now for DS260.

The petitioner part says "in process" but can't start the affidavits of support. I just guessing you have to do the DS260 part first right then itll allow you to do that part after,(every things already paid).

ANYWAY, the real questions.

Questions.

1. My spouse is in another country, when they make English friends or at work when a foreigner does business with her, she tells them an easy to pronounce English name, this name changed more than once to make it easier for them to pronounce. This isn't a real legal name or goes by it normally anywhere. It is like a random name just because their name is hard to say. Do I write that on the DS260, all the random English names used? Also do I write any nicknames or "pet" names I have for spouse? like if I call her "flower butter something" or something...you get the point? or do they just mean any legal or official names they go by?

2. The previous addresses was tough, spouse lived at university and then a couple work places for each year until she got a place of her own to stay for more than 5 years but the question asked all places lived since 16 years old and it asks the month? She is not too sure exact months on some of the places since it was temporary stays, will around the month she thinks be a problem? Like at the interview would they ask what month you lived at this year, she says nov but on paper she submits says dec, will they find this a problem?

3. The part where it asks you if you ever got a social security card(answer is no, she never been to usa) then question after asks do you need a new card issued? I am confused with the wording because "new card" if you never had one? Also you do need a SSN once in the USA to work, so are they asking if you want a card when you get to USA?

Thank you for your time and help from the start of this before i130 was approved, very helpful to clarify and so on. I know "just ask lawyer" long story, hard to contact so if anyone has any insight with these questions, thank you.
