Out of sheer curiosity (no pun intended) how many African Husbands\SOs...ok now that I think about it wives too, :blush: HATE CATS?

My husband can't stand cats, I find some sort of humor in it :devil: and so does... my sons cat!!

I swear the cat torments the man... :lol:

I don't know if my fiance hates cats, as he does not have one. I know dogs don't bother him, but I've not asked about a cat.

I do know I don't like cats. I think some are cute, but I want them to stay far away from me. They are annoying, and I don't like finding cat hair all over the place. I don't like them rubbing against my legs or getting in my face. Well I'm just not an animal lover anyway and I am so afraid of dogs.

sorry i dont have a african husband but my arab loves cats...its just the cat hates him.

he started out hating dogs but since he let me get one for our second anniversay he cant help but to love the one i got. mr. heard heart kept saying...keep that thing away from me. i dont want anything to do with it. then one day he looked at her and said...i dont know what u have done, but u make me love u. after that he started sleeping on the couch with her all the time and i lost my bed partner to a dog.

hopefully ur husband will feel the same some day.

really isnt it funny how animals just know when someone dont like them and they torment the heck out of them.

I'm not sure if Ombeni actually enjoys cats, or if he pretends to for my benefit. But they don't freak him out or bother him! I think more than anything, he's amused by how much I love them.

When I was staying with my host family and explained that we buy the cats food at the grocery store, they practically died from laughter.

My hubby doesn't care for animals...and I have a anti-social cat named Big Boy. If I pet big boy or hold him for a minute....he tells me that I better bathe before touching him. He will feed the cat...but that is it.

It is cute because sometimes my cat will lay down next to hubbys feet when he is at the computer....and when my hubby gets up...big boy will follow him around until he feeds him :)

He says that they used to have a cat...and his father would let cat sleep in father's bed...but he does not even remember the name of the cat and the cat would eat whatever they ate.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

7/20/05 - Visa received in the mail

9/13/05 - Arrival to Texas FINALLY!!!

12/2/05 - Wedding

1/25/06 - AOS/EAD sent

1/26/06 - AOS/EAD received at USCIS

02/4/06 - NOA received for EAD

02/6/06 - NOA received for AOS

02/7/06 - ASC appt notice rcv'd

03/2/06 - Biometrics appt.

05/15/06 - AOS Approval (stamp in passport)

05/23/06 - Received Welcome letter

05/26/06 - Green Card arrived in mail yaaaahhooooo

08/10/06 - Hubby 1st job in US

05/15/08 - ??? what next

My husband HATES cats. He is appalled that they live in the house with me, he is even more appalled that the baby plays with the cat. He thinks they are demonic creatures lol. I love my cat no matter what he says. He'll learn to love her too!

07/22/05 K-3 leaves NVC to Lagos

08/08/05 Hubby picks up interview packet from embassy

11/17/05 K-3 interview (denied, C.O refused to take co-sponsor for k-3)

12/16/05 I-130 NOA2

01/03/06 NVC assigns case number

02/15/06 Case complete (thank you James Shortcuts- only 6 weeks!)

04/19/06 tired of waiting, filed k-3 #2 ( petition is still lost in oblivion)

09/11/06 NVC scheduled CR-1 interview/ on to Lagos (thank God after 7 months of waiting!)

10/14/06 Interview date (success!)

10/18/06 Hubby goes to pick up visa- not ready ( ugh what's going on!)

10/19/06 Visa in hand ( thank you God!)

10/29/06 Together at last :)

Whole process 1 year and 4 months

Booker loves cats. He has one and it just had babies not too long ago. I don't really care for cats too much, even though I've had one before. He was the only one I liked.

My husband likes cats, but I don't. We'll probably get a dog in the future. What we both don't understand is how someone can treat a dog or a cat like a human being. They're not. But they are nice to have around.

February 17, 2005--mailed in I 129F to CSC!

February 24, 2005--1st NOA

March 15, 2005--2nd NOA

April 11, 2005--Fiance receives Packet 3

May 19, 2005 Fax Checklist(Nigeria police report finally arrives)

June 6, 2005-- Interview Date!!!!Visa approved!!

June 18, 2005--Fiancee arrives in Hawaii!

August 14, 2005--wedding in Oregon

September 12, 2005--sent in AOS

September 20, 2005--1st NOA AOS

September 23, 2005--Walk-in biometrics completed

October 1, 2005--fingerprints received/processing resumed

November 26, 2005--EAD card received in mail

June 7, 2006--contact senators about AOS

June 28, 2006--senator says interview date is for August 14!!

August 14, 2006--AOS interview and 1 year wedding anniversary
