that seems very good, but are these all emergency cases? if not, why are they not updating their website?

I don't think these are just emergency cases.  The poster also mentioned speaking to someone who had had a non-expedited interview recently, so it seems like they are processing again.  Yay!  As for not updating their website, I have read here on visajourney about multiple other embassies who started processing visas again but their websites still said they were closed until further notice, so that seems pretty normal.

i really hope you are right. these processes are taking forever and it shouldn't.

don't you guys think that we should be more active in here and keep in touch.

it feels like there aren't many people in here from Egypt.

does any of you know how to collect more information about us embassy in Cairo, Egyptians who got their cases advanced, etc..?

i think it would help a lot if we get sense of how many cases are being interviewed on a daily basis and when these people who got interviewed were documentarily qualified.

your thoughts?

I couldnt agree more but the problem is how can we be active if we have no updates 😄

We can only follow the embassy by either (1)more users on here that share info or (2) their website or (3)the statistics i shared which comes out monthly.

I personally dont know how else can we know the number of cases or even their details (whether normal processing/expedited) unless the users themselves share.

I do suggest we can all start by making sure our  timelines are updated and as soon as anyone has news to come on here and post - thats why the other users are able to follow their embassy progress easily and can actually guess who will get interviewed and when

ok Guys, Help me out here.

does this look like they are prioritizing immigrant visa at the us embassy in Cairo  MARCH 2021 - NIV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.xlsx (state.gov)  ?

this is a statistic of the nonimmigrant visa issued at the USA embassy in Cairo. treble the number of immigrant visas that were issued the same month.

I'm so glad someone sees what i see! I've been very confused and upset because of that, like help me understand why they only issued 1 K1 visa the WHOLE of March but 300+ tourist visas... doesn't make any sense.

i feel like they just keep lying and publishing fake news

I agree and what's even weirder is that they aren't allowing me to check for available appointments... everytime i log in it tells me that I've " exceeded the amount of times I can check and it will reset tomorrow " and it never resets. they need to be more transparent with us.

I heard that 2 lawsuits have been filed against the us embassy in Cairo.

do you guys have any info regarding that?

I emailed the law firm bringing this lawsuit against the Cairo embassy on behalf of Cr-1 applicants and they told me it was $2500 to join.  I chose not to, not sure if they are still accepting plaintiffs.

does this look like Cairo embassy is following the prioritization guidelines?  APRIL 2021 - IV Issuances by Post and Visa Class.xlsx (state.gov)

I was just going to post this.  It looks like there is definitely movement, they did 50 IR1 spousal visas in April 2021, same amount as they did in April 2019 so that's a very good sign.
