Will ever the two shall meet ?

I've indicated to the USCIS that I'm filing for a K-3 for my wife and a K-4 for my stepdaughter on both petitions. It will be great if the I-130 petitions are approved first but I'd much rather make it easy for both of them since communication can be a problem in the provence by going the K route for now. Both I-130's and the I-129f are now pending at the California Service center ( with the I-130 showing approval a week or 2 earlier than the I-129f ) and I've noticed that often both can be approved at the same time. Do these petitions eventually meet and are treated as one group if you have indicated to the USCIS that you're going the K route ?

You won't know for sure until the approval but the current standard procedure is for the petitions to approve the same day. Based on the the short time between NOA1 dates, I would live your life as if the K3/4 will rule the day.
