Hello! I have a SSN already because I had a  J1 visa BUT my SSN says :"VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION".
my question is if i need to remove that condition or what i need to do with that after i get marrieds. TIA!

You need an EAD to actually work. The SSN is just for payroll + can be used for taxes, makes it easier to get insurance or open bank accounts, etc. You apply for the EAD alongside AOS.

 

Once you get a green card, you can go back to the SSA to get a card without that restriction.

If I get the EAD first than the GC, with that Can i go to the SSA and Remove that restriction? Thank u!

No. You need to be a green card holder or US citizen to remove that language.

I don't think removing it is going to change much (except for the writing to not be on there). You can still work with an EAD

It can come in handy in case somebody's green card expires (i.e. during ROC) and they need to show eligibility to work for an I-9. They could use their unrestricted SS card + a driver's license or state ID in that case.
