I got my advance parole (in a form of employment ID which serves as advance parole ID too) and i’m planning to travel to Dubai(my previous residence) for 2 weeks.

Is it really safe to travel with the advance parole?

What documents do I need to bring with me?

i did read that there can still be issues re-entering the US.

It's very low risk. I wouldn't worry.

Note that only US nationals (i.e. US citizens, American Samoans, Swains Islanders, and CNMI individuals that chose not to get US citizenship) and American Indians born in Canada (with at least 50% American Indian blood) are guaranteed entry to the US and can't be deported.

Aren't you effectively guaranteed to go into secondary inspection if you travel on AP?  Everyone whom I've heard of using AP had to go through secondary inspection when going through customs.  They are able still re-enter the US but it still must be annoying going through secondary inspection that can take a long time.

Just make sure there is a lot of time during the layover (if applicable).

Yes, but only because you are entering as a parolee, which requires a  little extra paperwork and they do in that area

YMMV

It's relatively safe to travel back to the US with AP. You'll be taken to the secondary where they will parole you in.

It can be somewhat problematic if you lose the AP card abroad as the airlines are not too eager to cooperate and US consulates generally don't issue a replacement travel document to AP holders (they do to GC holders). So just be aware of that risk and don't lose that card. Also make an electronic copy of both sides of the card before you travel.

How come you do not have a timeline? You come to VJ ask questions. people provide answers to your questions in a volunteer manner and you do not have timeline so that other people can at least look at it and get some information or help if needed?
