When looking at the I-94 paper there is a preprinted 11 didget number in the upper left on the paper on the side where you write your name. On the other side hand written is the letter A and then about 8 numbers in the section marked "record of changes" where they stamped the authorization and hand wrote the date that the I-94 is good till. Which # is the I-94 number?

cshell,

The pre-printed number is the I-94 number.

The hand-written number beginning with the letter 'A' is the A# - Alien Registration Number.

wonderful - the person who wrote the Alien registration # has the worst handwriting. I truely can't tell if the number part is 8 or 9 didgets and 3 of the numbers I'm not positive what they are. How can I get the proper number to include it on paperwork for AOS etc?

It should also be written on your I-129F petition approval notice of action (NOA 2). Mine had my A# in the same box where it listed my name.

Wow - what a help that was - Now I know the # and that the person who hand wrote it on the I-94 is unable to correctly copy a number and make it readable - but I do see that they are now the same - thanks again :)
