Good day,

I am a green card holder with a pending petition for my unmarried daughter over 21. Petition was filed with priority date of June 2012. Now I am planning to apply for my citizenship ( been here for 9yrs+). Would it affect my daughter's case priority wise from F2AB to F1 if I become a citizen? Would it expedite the processing time since it will be under F1? Or should I stay as LPR and keep the F2B? Thank you.

Get your citizenship when you want.  If your desire is to keep f2b, then you can opt out of the f1 category after naturalization

YMMV
