DS-160 confirmation page: how to find and print it

  Hello all,

My fiance printed out what we thought was the confirmation page and took it to the bank to pay the visa fee, but the bank teller told him that it was not the correct page for the confirmation page.  Can anyone please explain how to get the confirmation page, and what does it look like?  We can't find any other page that we think could be the confirmation page.  The one my fiance printed out has a bar code in the upper right corner and has his photo, the word "Confirmation" under "Online Non-immigrant Visa Application (DS-160), a number in red ink, and then instructions under all of that.  Is that the confirmation page?  Or if not, where do we find it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance,

                 Virgie

Did he take the bank deposit reference page? Maybe that's the one they were referring to. In Lebanon, when you go pay the fee at the bank you need to print out the bank deposit slip that you take to them and has a reference number.

The confirmation page is displayed after successfully completing the DS160 online. There’s options to print and/ or email it. Are you sure the bank needs the confirmation page. For the Manila embassy they have a special deposit form for the bank; not sure about Egypt.

No, because before I was told that you needed to take the confirmation page.  But, this morning I read on the embassy's page about paying the visa fee, and I see that it's the bank deposit slip that the bank needs.  Thank you for your help, celie&joseph!

Ahh, so yes most likely that's the one they were referring to. Make sure he takes both (DS160 confirmation and the bank deposit slip) and he should be fine.

No worries, glad I could help!

the confirmation page should've appreared as soon as you completed and submitted hte DS160.  From what you described, that should've been the correct page.

Russ&MaryAnn---You're right; it is the bank deposit slip, not the confirmation page, that he needs to take to the bank.  I had been told the wrong information.  Thanks for your reply!

didn't you put out a post that you sent a letter to withdraw the petition, sending an email to the embassy to withdraw even if not in an official letter is going to create issues, your really going to be better off going back to Egypt and getting married and to file the CR1.

Personally do not risk it getting through the interview getting the visa and having it caught later and having the green card stripped deported, and given a ban.

The ban would come if they question it at interview and you try and find a way to back it out. (side not: I am not saying that you would do that) however it is too big of a risk to continue at this point.

I sent an email, but the embassy said I would have to send a notarized letter.  I never sent the notarized letter.  Our case status is now showing we are ready for the interview.  I emailed the embassy and asked if we should start over again with a new petition, and they sent me back the information about what to take to the interview, etc.  ???  I think we will try with the K 1 interview and make sure my fiance tells them that at one point, we did break up and I thought it was over, etc. but we reconciled.
