If you want to argue, then try to...blurting emotional rhetoric and insults at those who don't agree with you isn't adding anything to the discussion.

No thanks; I'd rather put you on ignore than subject myself to your verbal diarrhea any longer. There is no point in debating anything with you; anyone who does not agree is 'blurting emotional rhetoric and insults', after all. You're incapable of entertaining any point of view other than your own.

And with all your wisdom and foresight, just exactly how would you deport that many people...start first with how you you'd round them up, followed by where you'll put them.

I'm actually willing to pay for enforcement. We wouldn't even have to use all of the tax money we'd save from illegals NOT sucking up services. Where to put them is easy: in their countries of origin.

Now, Steven_and_Jinky, I want you to have a nice little bleeding heart, illegal alien-enabling life. I'm sick of your bleeding heart emotional blurtings.

steven, if the usa raises the fines on employers to where it's not worth the risk, and also imposes fines are who rent to illegals, this will cut off their money supply. they will self-deport.

eta: i see you lowballed the number here.......not surprising.

Enforcement of hiring practices sounds reasonable, but any type of mass exit of that many people is not rational - it would be a humanitarian crisis. You seriously wouldn't consider offer work visas for those who've been here for more than 5 years?

steven, do you not see the other side of that coin? like the mass entrance of that many people causing a crisis in the usa?

and no, i would not consider a work visa for them. no more than i'd consider letting a bank robber hold my wallet. it's rewarding their behavior.

And with all your wisdom and foresight, just exactly how would you deport that many people...start first with how you you'd round them up, followed by where you'll put them.

just do what we did before in the 50's. put them on a boat. drop them off at the southernmost point of mexico. they have all of mexico to go thru if they want to return. and also their care and feeding becomes the problem of mexico, who's problem it really is.

I'm ok with letting some stay, but not all 12 million!! Those with any criminal record should not qualify for AMNESTY. No one knows the exact number that have criminal records becoz our Govt hasn't kept track of them to begin with!! But I'd bet it's a large percentage of them, especially since males age 18-30 make up a huge number of the illegal aliens in the USA. how many of those males are involved with Gang activity??

"MS-13: a gang leader accused of orchestrating a December bus bombing in Honduras that killed 28 people was arrested in Texas in February, and a recent seven-city sweep by ICE netted more than 100 reputed MS-13 members."

That's just one example, the border is out of control becoz of drugs and gangs!

USCIS and the stupid consuls look at us doing it LEGALLY with a friggin microscope!! And I'm suppose to feel sorry for Illegals?? NOPE

"Ironically, city officials from Agua Prieta(a Mexican border town) complain that the horde of illegals is causing inordinate amounts of crime, drug abuse and homelessness -- complaints also lodged by U.S. landowners and ranchers who live on the U.S. side of the border, where illegals are attempting to gain access to the states."

Even Mexico admits it!! They just want to dump their problems on us!!

Gonna try again.

According to some, they all should go home regardless of the situations they find themselves in. scary, angry, furious - whatever works.

and why shouldn't they? doesn't america have enough problems without an invasion from another country?

The solution has been stated over and over yet you keep ignoring it. Enforce the labor laws! Make it so hard for them to find work that they will go home on their own!

Better enforcement of hiring practices isn't going to make 11 plus million (sorry Charles...the number after 10 million is irrelevant for this point) just go away. We'd have a HUGE humanity crisis. Think about this - we're talking about millions of families with children that were born here. Solutions that curtail illegal immigration is only part of the solution - so far I haven't seen any rational solution on what to do with those that are already here.

As long as there is a demand for cheap labor and workers will to supply it, we will always have immigrants here illegally.

You can force employers not illegal immigrants, the illegal immigrants just become independent contractors. No longer hired, but providing services to a business.

You can force landlords to not rent to illegal immigrants, and then you create a market for renting by proxy or they would just live with friends or family that is here legally.

Just like the drug trade its illegal, and we spend billions every year on enforcement. But you can still get drugs on the street.

As long as people want to keep their Walmart's, McDonald's and cheap goods, this country will always demand cheap labor. If we some how manage to remove all illegal immigrants from this country, expect prices to go up for goods and services quite significantly, especially with food.

The economy is to far removed from the immigration debate for most people to see a cause and effect.

We are much better off trying to document the illegal aliens and let them stay rather than kick them out. So they can pay taxes and be part of society.

America once known as a melting pot of culture, is destroying itself out of selfishness and xenophobia.

what I said what in the context of how is this "fear". I was merely giving examples, and I was just saying not everything is black & white.

for clarification, no, I dont see how sending an illegal who was dumped here as a child should be deported. unpopular view to have, but its all i got :star:

another chicken and egg arguement?

You can force employers not illegal immigrants, the illegal immigrants just become independent contractors. No longer hired, but providing services to a business.

wrong again. they are still paid, the business that pays them is still on the hook.

You can force landlords to not rent to illegal immigrants, and then you create a market for renting by proxy or they would just live with friends or family that is here legally.

still not a work around. what happens when you aid and abett a criminal? your property can be seized.

Just like the drug trade its illegal, and we spend billions every year on enforcement. But you can still get drugs on the street.

still no reason to throw our hands up and give up.

As long as people want to keep their Walmart's, McDonald's and cheap goods, this country will always demand cheap labor. If we some how manage to remove all illegal immigrants from this country, expect prices to go up for goods and services quite significantly, especially with food.

up in one area, down in others. like health care, taxes, and so on.

The economy is to far removed from the immigration debate for most people to see a cause and effect.

for some apparently. the same ones that complain about big business are also defending their hiring of such. and then people wonder why wages are depressed.

We are much better off trying to document the illegal aliens and let them stay rather than kick them out. So they can pay taxes and be part of society.

they are not part of our society. and you're assuming they wish to become us citizens too.

America once known as a melting pot of culture, is destroying itself out of selfishness and xenophobia.

you call it that if you want, i prefer to think of it as thinking about the long term stability of our country.

Steven_and_Jinky, you have a lot of nerve saying something like that when you've passive-aggressively attacked statements I've made in other threads. You're a hypocrite.

I take back what I said about you having a nice life. I hope you have a crappy life. So long.

Illegal aliens have no business in this country. Can they be deported? Sure.

Hire airlines to mass deport these individuals on a daily basis. Shite, we spend billions in Iraq without even blinking.

Should we employ more stringent labor laws, to jail employers caught blatently hiring illegals? Absolutely.

Why are we even considering amnesty? That my friends, is an open season invitation for more illegals to enter, exponentially.

It is time we really get this problem resolved. Round them up and out the door.

Legal immigration is such a b!tch, I cannot believe anyone here supports amnesty for illegal aliens. Shame on you Steven.
