actually i dont defend the bill.. im not even aware of all the points.. i really don't care if they deport them or not..

That's not exactly what I remember from other discussions here in OT but if you say that you have no opinion on the issue one way or the other then I take your word for it.

coulda fooled me

lol.. yea, i dont have an opinion, but wherever there's racist remarks (not this topic), or people who want to violate their basic rights, i'll have an opinion.. as a matter of fact, y'all right, an amnesty would just bring more illegals next time.. and since I'm not even a citizen, I really can't have a saying here, cuz it's the Americans government, not a residents government, when it's my turn to become an USC, then it'll be different.. but, it's not the same proposing a right way to deport them, than just heard them like cattle, or beat them up in the raids or stuff like that, that yeah, probly is an expcetion more than a rule, but still..

It's prejudiced on some level - but not xenophobic, nor necessarily even racist - though the race argument gets tacked on because the vast majority of illegals are of hispanic/latino descent. Still referring to another person as a "cockroach" or a "stray dog" isn't a label I would choose to use - to describe anyone.

To me that's insulting a group of people based on their illegal activities/criminal behavior as opposed to their race or national origin, since illegals can and do come from everywhere and all races are represented. Those aren't words I'd use either, but I don't see them as racist or xenophobic nonetheless. I refer to illegals as "fence jumpers" because to me, that's what they are. They jumped the fence, now they're whining about their "rights". Don't wanna hear it.

What gets me is that you have described precisely how Mexico treats illegals on its own southern border, yet the Mexican government condemns us and whines every time we try to do something about the illegal invasion of our own southern border. Such hypocrisy should not be permitted to stand, and I don't think the Mexican government has the political or the MORAL right to talk to us about anything we do to try to control immigration.

you must be new here. there have been plenty of posts, and no, i ain't lookikng em up fo ya, where fellow vj'ers wanted the border mined, invade mexico, fence jumpers shot, etc..

and for the xenophobic bit, that is a fair charge against the illegal immigrant crowd. sure, there are exceptions. and i don't believe most anti illegal crowd members are truly evil folks. nope. most are good folks who are simply scared of folks they don't know. so when they see rallies of folks who don't speak english and waive foreign flags, they naturally react negatively to that.

so, the challenge for folks who want the usa to benefit the most are trying to find a solution. a very hard task. it is easy to take potshots at any proposed solutions. simple minded solutions like "round em all up" simply isn't doable. economicallh speaking, they are wanted and needed here. those who claim otherwise are fooling themselves.

america is bigger and stronger than ever. and guess what, the illegals are a part of this bigger and stronger america. God bless and good night.

Am I new or not? Why don't you also tell me how long I monitored before I joined. Your statement, please elaborate.

As for the posts, I requested assistance to locate “claimed” information. If I can’t find the information and you're unwilling to assist, I seriously question the validity of the comment and your statements.

and for the xenophobic bit, that is a fair charge against the illegal immigrant crowd. sure, there are exceptions. and i don't believe most anti illegal crowd members are truly evil folks. nope. most are good folks who are simply scared of folks they don't know. so when they see rallies of folks who don't speak english and waive foreign flags, they naturally react negatively to that.

illegal immigrant crowd? you mean people against illegal aliens … better know as lawbreakers?

This is sovereign US soil (nuff said).

As an example of a benevolent foreign government and peoples, please tell me how many rallies have occurred on Mexican soil (your profile indicates this is your home country) where people didn’t speak Spanish and waived foreign flags. What would be the reaction from that country given the same situation you've just stated? You mean people and the government in Mexico would welcome this type of behavior? If they do ... good for them, they are not the USA.

btw: Please provide links and/or data showing how receptive Mexico is toward rallies of non spanish speaking peoples waving foreign flags on Mexican soil.

Excuse me … xenophobic accusations aimed toward people participating on a family immigration website. You have got to be kidding.:lol:

Other people ... ever consider they want people to abide by the law and be punished (deported) for breaking the law?

A proposal of a real solution that benefits the USC and this country is needed. The illegal alien lawbreaker(s) knew they were breaking the law when they arrived, I have no sympathy for them. It was their choice ... and free will. They are free to leave and I encourage their exit.

Yeah, it's actually south of the border where the inhumane treatment of illegal aliens (such as you describe above and worse) is the rule rather than the exception. That's one of the things I still don't quite grasp, how citizens of a nation that abuses the living hell out of illegal aliens in their country claim these precious rights for themselves when they're the illegal aliens in someone else's country. Lacking a bit of credibility here. ;)

Immigrants are wanted and needed. Foreign workers are wanted and needed. Illegal aliens are neither wanted nor needed except by a small minority of profiteers. America would live and function without them. Quite a bit better no doubt, seeing that they net a burden to the tune of 10,000,000,000.00 p.a. to the taxpayer.

most [of the anti-illegal crowd] are good folks who are simply scared of folks they don't know believe that this nation achieved greatness as a nation based on the rule of law and believe that immigration is a privilege that this government has a right and obligation to regulate.

I fixed that for you.

it's not the all the citizens.. it's the police mainly.. which, well, I wouldn't even trust them either... but that doesn't cover the fact that ICE has also abused the illegal aliens in the USA.. like the Swift plant raid in GA, ICE breaking into houses withouth warrants...

There have been abuses, sure. I don't condone abusing illegal immigrants, nor do I condone mining the border or abusing them in any way. I just want them to be calmly and politely escorted back over the border or put on a bus/plane back to their home countries.
