November 2019 filers??

Is there a new thread for November 2019 filers?? Anyway important points
Things I’ve noted so far

1. there is a back log in the system where processing (i130 & i485 etc) and updating is concerned.
2. the recent wave of filings is the reason for this backlog (due to the whole public health thing)

3. Usually you could call in (After 2 weeks or so) and query about your documents and processing etc but with the current backlog they’re extending it to 30 working days.

There was a bill, that’s now currently blocked, that would allow uscis to deny anyone who wishes to adjust status if they are found to use public health assistance. So food stamps, Medicare, housing etc anything that shows that you basically can’t go without public assistance would have automatically result in a denial.

So is it only Medicare or any other insurance? My husband was able to put me in his health insurance (Horizon) through his job.

My husband and I sent off our application November 9 (well, our lawyer sent it). Tracking shows as delivered to USCIS Chicago Lockbox. No check cashed yet, on pins and needles that this is going to happen so I can have a little bit of peace about this.

Would LOVE a nov. 19 thread to exchange with others. Really worried about the increasing processing times.
