How long until the embassy prints and sends the passport visa after approved interview?

Hello,

My husband had an interview for his IR1 immigrant visa on October 31st 2019 in the U.S. embassy in Guatemalan. He was approved at the time of the interview.

It has been 3 business days and CEAC still shows as ready and it does show case updated on November 4, 2019. But the status stayed on ready. Should I be worried?

Sometimes up to 2 weeks,  most consulates batch print only on certain days

YMMV

About 2 weeks, could be more, could be less.

Hi, my wife just got her NVC documents accepted. I just want to know if your husband had his Birth certificate translated to English? Also, if he took the I-864 with him to the interview? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the quick reply. Was it required to be translated? How about the I864? Did he have to take originals to the interview? My wife and I submitted everything through CEAC so am unsure if I864 are required.

Yes at the US Embassy in Guatemala it was required. But double check with your US embassy. And yes he brung his i864 as well. And all originals had to be taken to interview too.

Thank you so much. My wife is in Guatemala and I came across this post. Old but helpful. Thank you for your help. I'll let her know to call the embassy tomorrow just to double check the whole translation ordeal.

Great! Glad I could help. Good luck to you both. It's never a bad thing to over prepare, just word of advice.

One question, did you get the documents translated in the US or in Guatemala?

In the USA, he was living here undocumented throughout his immigration process.
