Hello. I just called a CS that i got from the USCIS phone line and they told me i have to pay $200 for the medical exam and $185 for the vaccines, i told them i had my medical done back in my country and they told me i need to prove to them that i actually did it, or else i'd need to have a second one here, so, what can i do? also, i gave me all those shots back home but i dont have the paper, so i was wondering if it would be ok to call my family doctor and ask him to write a letter for me stating that i had the vaccines already.

Something else, we have all other papers ready, this is the only thing tht's keeping us from sending the package, so, would it be a big problem if we send the package without the I-693A? my I-94 will expire the third week of july and we've started to freak out.

Someone please help help.

Thanks

Do you have your DS-3025? You can take that to the CS and he can just transfer the info into the I-693A.

Maybe you wanna read the guides that are pinned up here!! They are very helpful and are there for a purpose!

Sorry, I have to edit my initial reply, but the edit didn't work, so here my actual reply:

If you have your DS-3025, you can take that to the CS and he can just transfer the info into the I-693A. I didn't get it when I had my medical in Germany but I had my dad call them again and they faxed it to him and he faxed it to me. Worked out just great. Maybe you have someone too to get it for you in your home country!?

You of course can send your package without the I-693A, but most likely you will get a RFE for it which wil slow everything down.

Also: You don't HAVE to file before your I-94 expires, this is just something that is recommended to do, but it won't harm you if you send the AOS package later.

Maybe you wanna read the guides that are pinned up here!! They are very helpful and often helped me from getting a headache over this whole process!!!

What is the DS-3025? Is that the form they get when they are completing their medical in their home country? I remember telling my husband to get a form when he got his medical, but they told him they can not fill anything out... at the request of the embassy. So now we are getting together stuff for AOS, and I worry about the medical part.

If he has just his vaccination records, will CS transfer to I693 without the DS3025? Or will he have to have another medical all over again?

Yes, the DS-3025 is the sheet the doctor in your homecountry fills out and he is SUPPOSED to give you a copy. If he doesn't you can insist, there is even a little note "copy to applicant" at the bottom of it.

This sheet will make it much easier to get your I-693A filled out.

If your own personal vaccination record is in english, the CS might accept that too and fill the I-693A out, but I already had a hard time to find a CS here to only do the supplement form at all.

Most CS wanted to do a full medical exam, of course, they get a lot of money for that.

I finally found one in Dallas (3 hrs drive) who just filled it out for $30!

Good luck!

We did call, they said they have "instructions" from the consulate not to give out copies. We have my husbands vaccination records... in Polish, but in Chicago we'll be able to find a PL CS so hopefully he'll just transfer to the I-693 and not insist on the full medical.

It cost us $25 to have the DS-3025 from Brazil transferred to the I-693A and it took 2 seconds.

Make sure you explain to the CS that you don't need a medical exam (if you came in on K1/K3 and had one in the last year).

The first CS we called wanted to charge us for an immigration medical, even if my husband didn't need one.

She wanted $$

its interesting to know that they think she could possibly could get a visa without a medical exam. something a little unright about that answer to you.

Just need copy of DS-3025

I called all 3 CS listed here in FL and they all told me i need a full medical; after telling the last CS that i had my medical back in my country he said that i will have to do a full medical here unless i get a letter from an attorney stating that i dont need it, (wht the hell?) so, the medical will be $200 and he will charge around $90 more per vaccine.

Now, can i still call this CS in TX even though i'm in FL? how does that work? thanks a lot for the help

Those are very strange instructions. I'm looking at the DS3025 right now and at the bottom it says in bold: "Give copy to applicant". I haven't had my medical yet, but I'm goint to insist on getting a copy of at least this vaccination sheet, if not the whole paperwork.

How about calling the consulate and asking them about these "instructions"? Maybe the doctor made them up not to be bothered...

I argued with the CS here until he threatened to throw me out of his office, LOL. He insisted I needd a full medical exam even I showed him the instructions that clearly say, I don't need one.

Of course they make more money for a full medical exam, and they know you need the papers for your immigration process, so they think they can do whatever.

And yes, the DS-3025 has a remark on the bottom that says "give copy to applicant" so i can only advice everybody when they have their medical in their homecountry to insist on that copy.

I was lucky that my dad could get it later on and just faxed it to me!

There may be a misunderstanding in how your husband is wording the request.

You have a right for the DS3025 vacination worksheet and not the entire medical papers.

Have him contact the panel doctor again and specificaly ask for a copy of the DS3025

vaccination worksheet and point out the "copy to applicant" instruction.

Something may be getting 'lost in translation' with the request.

Have it faxed and yes you can still send it in to the CS in Tx. even if you live in another state.
