I-134 (Affidavit of support)

Hi all,

1)  I'm just wondering how far in advance everyone completed the I-134?

I am currently waiting for notification from NVC, and want to be fully prepared when the time comes for  interview at the embassy.  I dont want to panic to try and get the forms and all supporting evidence once I get an interview date, however, I'm worried if I get the I-134 completed too far in advance they will say my supporting evidence is not recent enough.

2) Are 'Wet' signatures required at the Embassy, or will scanned I-134 forms be accepted?

1. My evidence was 4 months old at my interview because I prepared it and mailed hard copies to England.

This cut/paste from the US Embassy London website might be helpful to you. While it is the affidavit of support for a spouse visa, I believe the same intent would hold true for your I-134.

Form I-864, a contractual affidavit of support, must be submitted at the time of the interview for immediate relative and family-based applicants and employment-based applicants when a relative is the petitioner or has ownership interest in the petitioner’s business.

Evidence submitted with the I-864 must be less than 12 months old.

2. London allows scanned copies oftheI-134.
