CONGRATULATION!!!

 

Your announcement made me ensure that the I-130 file is still being processed as normal. In the past months, I have been worried about it since there are many comments to say that the I-130 for parents has been banned till next year. I filed I130 on Mrch 8, 2020 and hopefully I will get the good news as yours around October (yours waited in 8 months for approving).

Received RFE yesterday stating late registered birth certificate. 
 

Birth certificate submitted was an unabridged version that was printed in 2014. No dates on certificate indicating when the birth was actually registered, so I guess that is what caused the RFE. 

That could be it. Are you able to obtain a certified copy?

I had also filed in March'20 and got I-130 approval notice today. File was transferred to NVC as I had mentioned interview location of Mumbai and I want to change it to US now. Not sure how to proceed with this change. Anyways, good luck. Approval notice should be coming soon.

There are no US embassies/visa interviews done in the US.

I was able to respond with a Proof of Registration of Birth document, Baptism Certificate and Affidavits of Birth.

 

The cases have now been approved.  
Surprisingly, They reviewed the RFE response and approved within 1 day - I thought there was going to be a long wait.

That was fast ... congratulations.

 

I also submitted all documents and fees NVC requested for and now they sent email saying my mum would be scheduled for an interview once slot opens up.

Hi Everyone, my first post here and I am glad to find this topic. I have filed for my both parents in Nov 2019. My dad’s approval came in May 22 but my mom’s case is still pending. My mom’s case got several updates and it was saying under review but since e few days it got change to this (Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed) any idea? Thanks
