Hello everyone just wanted to ask any good help who have a successful experience during the process of tourist visa application like the case of my son.To start with my son who is over 21 yrs of age in Phils have a pending approval of my petition to him to come to the US as you all know when it’s over 21 yrs old the waiting period is longer so Me and his 2 sister is planning to let there brother come to the US to spent Xmas with us this coming Dec.hopefully my son work in the govt as a barangay councilor in our place and with a very good record I hope anyone who have a successful experience can share with me any guide on how to convince the Consul so he will approve. I would be very glad someone can share there little time to drop a message of advice so I can let my son start the process thanks have a blissful day all 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

6/26/08:resent the 1-129f package to VSC

8/21/08:received NOA1 in the mail,yeyeyeh i was relief after the long period of waiting

1/28/09:NOA2 received ...in 161 days from NOA1

2/10/09:received appointment letter from USEM

3/11 - 12 : MEDICAL -- passed

3/30/09: INTERVIEW -- APPROVED

4/02/09:VISA deliver at home at 2:45 pm

5/28/09:SSN arrived after less than 1 week from filling.

6/01/09:Wedding day.[/color]

07/08/09:sent the 1-485 forms for adjustment of status package to chicago (USPS)..Day 1

07/10/09:arrived USCIS,chicago...(when i checked the USPS post office)...Day 3

07/12/09:check cashed...Day 5

07/15/09:noa1 date for (AOS,AED,AP)i thanks god for everything...(date arrived,07/20/09)...Day 10

08/12/09:calling USCIS to check the bio apt...Day 35

08/25/09:bio notice date issued...Day 48

08/29/09:bio notice received.(thank u so much mama mary...)...Day 52

09/04/09:AP arrived in the mail (date issued 08/27/09)

09/09/09:biometrics done...

09/17/09:EAD = card arrived today...so happy...

10/03/09:interview notice received

11/05/09:AOS -- interview approved (thank u mama mary)...

11/16/09: GREEN CARD arrived today...

Good luck! It's an uphill battle but not impossible.

 

There's not really anything to do...they will approve or not based on the merits of his own case (and almost never look at documents). Just be honest, direct, and hope for the best.

Difficult, but yes, not impossible. I remember, however, during my interview for immigrant visa, i was asked whether i applied before for or was denied of a US visa. I guess, a more important question is its effect on your son's petition. 

 

The important thing is to convince the consul that he s returning to the Phil aftr vacation. It is not a question of intent as residing in the mind, it is rather a question of facts as manifestations f intents. - jst random thoughts po.

Timeline

Hi, I have a pending i130 application and I applied for a B1/B2 visa (tourist visa) and I was approved. There really isn't any magic to it. Just be confident in your answers and be honest, it is very possible to get the tourist visa. A good travel history and a good job helps as they want to be sure that you will return to your home country.
