@Katie10 sorry to know you are also in this boat but thanks for writing. Tough when so many ppl got processed while we are “forgotten”. Yup the professing dates are back to “normal”, will see what that means in practice.
My attorney said the visa centre staff shortages are unlike she ever seen/known before. She quoted her connections claiming there are tables full on case folders unprocessed waiting for someone to open them...no progress. we are considering our options vs holidays slowing everything down again.

@AnnamM wow that's crazy! I guess that means there are many others like us waiting. Definitely feeling forgotten but trying not to lose hope, one day they will see our cases!

Hey guys, I feel little better finding this thread, knowing that I am not alone. I filed 2 applications i130 for my parents in November 2019. My mother's got approved in May 2020. My father's is still in process since then, approx. 15 months now. It was in Texas when I first received the receipt notice. When I try to report "Outside normal processing time", it says "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time." Ofcourse this is not the correct. But I am stuck. I tried calling USCIS many times but could never talk to the agent.

Finally I went to my Congressman Representative. On March 12, 2021, she got my case info and said that she will try to get the case status from USCIS. Fingers crossed.

Are there any other options?

You can chat with a live representative through Emma to know about the status of your case whether or not it has been transferred to some other center.

I went through EMMA and had a chat with the representative. I got to know that my case is transferred to California where the processing time is 19.5 months to 25.5 months. My original case was at Texas and processing time was 8.5 Months to 11 Months. Disappointing, but this is what it is. At least now I know that estimated time of my case decision will be 18 June 2021 - 18 Dec 2021.

Thanks alot @Kuchiki This was very helpful.

Hi, I'm a Dec 2019 filer. Its been 15 months now, and expecting atleast another 10 months of wait considering my application is in california.

I'm contemplating applying for a K3 that will atleast allow me to move to the US. Has anyone considered this?

Do K3s still get processed?

K3s are not issued anymore. Its futile to apply for it.

The last filing I have seen on VJ  for K3/K4  is from March 2020. A few people from 2019 have interviewed within the last 6 months. But the processing times were no faster than the CR1/IR1 visas.

Not sure if K3s are still been processed but it is still listed on the US Department of State website:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-spouse-k-3.html

You can always attempt a filing and see what happens.

07 Nov 2019 - IR-1 Submittes Online / Priority Date
17 July 2020 - I-130 Approval Notice (Nebraska Service Center)
15 Sept 2020* - Submitted documents to NVC
01 Oct 2020 -  Case FE Review note: Request to submit marriage termination document.
01 Oct 2020 -  Spouse divorce papers submitted
01 Oct 2020 - DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED

Notes:
* Foreign police clearance lost by Fedex - delayed submission to NVC by 6 weeks.

@Kuchiki Did you get any notification about the transfer to Vermont SC?

Hope you and all of us get a speedy and positive update.

we got moved to Vermont from Potomac, but never got notified.

My attorney forced her way into USCIS in April 2021 to speak with a level 2 officer and learnt that our case was sent from Potomac to Vermont in Jan 2021 as workload reallocation.

now we are in for another 1.5 yrs waiting for VSC, at worst.

My attorney filed 2 other petitions with mine at the same package (Nov 2019 NOA1), all landed in Potomac. The two other got approved by early April. It makes no sense to be honestly if all were so close to approval then one of them got move to Vermont because of lack of personnel.

Hello, I am a permanent resident and filed for my husband who is still living abroad in November 2019.

Our case is still pending at USCIS: Vermont Service with a status " your case is actively being reviewed by USCIS since 07/01/2021.

I am getting more and more concerned by the situation as we still have a long way to go after we receive the approval of USCIS.

Are there any I 130 November 2019 still waiting for USCIS approval?

For those of you who already have received the approval from USCIS, how long did you have to wait when your status changed from "received" to "your case is actively being reviewed by USCIS"?

It is hard to keep hope when we do not have any visibility as to when my husband will be able to join me.

Thank you and best of luck everyone in this journey!

I filed for my husband back in November 2019 and they asked my for more evidence on September 2020 and yesterday they denied my case. I was so suprised and devastated because I had a feeling they were going to update the case this month but I thought it would be an approval. I gave so much evidence and supporting documents and images and they still denied my case. I felt horrible cried all night about 2 years waiting and this is what I get.

I don't know what to do, I have 30 days to appeal, they had some incorrect misunderstands on evidence I gave them, I contacted a congresswomen in my distract, and a senator, I am gathering up as much new evidence as possible.

I just fear that they will refuse it again and I know the appeal process takes a year itself. does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do???

I am so helpless and filled with grief about this issue, I am a college student and my studies prevent me from traveling to him and I thought by the end of the summer I will finally see him here in America with me and now God choose other plans for us. I hope you guys can help me out advise me on what to do

Thank you
