Your approval is close. I hope you’ve been checking the DOCUMENT TAB for an approval notice in the form of an uploaded document.

After I got approved, my date kept changing. Congrats in advance!!!

I have been, everyday. Did you have the same experience with your dates changing multiple times before approval?

This is due to the software timezone they are using behind the scenes in their web application. It is using UTC format 000.Z (😎)

I see. That could be an explanation. Still a lot of touches 8 days in a row. Maybe they just now initiating background checks?!

I had a few daily date changes before finally getting the approval notice in there. You are nearly there.

Ok, thanks, I’ll let you know if and when it finally gets approved so others can get some understanding of what these events really mean. Thanks for the comments.

I submitted an inquiry to USCIS indicating that my I130 was outside of normal processing timelines.  I finally heard from USCIS today via email.  They indicated that our petition was approved and we should receive an approval notice in the mail within 30 days.  Case Status was updated for the first time since January 10, 2020, on September 10.  Case status still shows as "In Process".  There are no new documents under the documents tab.  PD November 12, 2019.  We received no other communications from USCIS, other than the email I recieved today.

I hope this helps someone. Thank you all for sharing info on this thread. You all have helped me stay sane the past 10 months.

Congrats. I did the same thing and all they said in the email to me was the case is inline to be reviewed by an officer, which means nothing to me. Since then the dates have changed 8 days in a row.

Now I understand that Case date changes really means nothing!!! Date changed again tonight to 9/21 and yet status itself did not change and no attachment in documents.

You are right. Date change doesn’t mean much. Some people have no date change and they get approved. Others have many date changes, but they are still waiting.

Just be patient, stop checking your status all day, and you will be approved :pop:

Finally approved today 9/25, two weeks after first touch. Hopefully this helps others understand the timelines and reduce some anxiety. Thanks for all the support and comments.

Thank you. I guess the two weeks was for background check and the change in dates meant they were actively working on the file.
