The DS-261 form is not a requirement. This is only a form that tells the State Department how to communicate with you during the visa process. The two applications that will have to be submitted are the DS-260 for the beneficiary and I-864 Affidavit of Support for the Petitioner. Eight days waiting time seems okay. It will probably update within a few days.

Hi Thank you for your response. I will wait until it opens up. I wast just curious because I didnt see Ds-261 and everyone was talking about and also it kind of weird that one payment clears and other still processing. Anyways will wait another week at least to se what happens.

Thanks again.

Yeah I’m not sure either. Once your applications open up, you will see what you need to submit and I don’t see the DS-261 as a form. It shouldn’t be long before you start your paperwork.

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted anything before,   but I am always reading everyone's posts.  My question is,  I just checked my husband's status on my uscis website and there is a new date.  The 1st one was 12/13/19 and now it changed to 5/26/2020.  Is this good news?  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my husband gets approved soon!  His priority date is 11/19/2019.

I had my approval on 5/26. I had only one date change which was 2/27 and second date change to 5/26 which is the date I got approved. Apparently it was transferred at some point from Texas to Nebraska service center. It was also still saying In process under USCIS website but I saw the approval notice under documents. This was my case so I hope this helps you as well keep checking under documents tab too. Good luck and I hope you all will get approval soon. Hang in there its coming!

Congrats to all that have been approved!

We submitted November 12, first NOA on November 18th. NOA said it was sent to Potomac. I am USC, spouse is Spanish.

I just checked MyUSCIS and it hasn't updated since January 10, 2020!!!

Is this a situation where you should message and ask if it's been transferred? I'm not really sure if there is anything I should do, or just be patient and hope for an update soon!

What do you mean by online access code? Are you the Beneficiary?

Hi, is there anyone from the UK petitioning with a PD in November 2019? There has been no movement with my case at all. I have messaged USCIS directly explaining there are a few petitions I have seen been provided updated dates. Meaning atleast there is some movement with the case. They just said its within the processing times and nothing has been red flagged etc. This waiting game is killing us. No updates at all!!
