Same happened with me. I received weekly timeline email from VJ on last Sunday. It was showing 5 months jump. I clicked on the link and it directed me to someone else profile.

Try to click that link in your email.

Hi Shermuz, it says "your case is under expedited review" so all should be good :) you should get a decision on the i130 within 30 days. If you don't then reply to exactly that email that you received and ask what the status is. At least that's what I did after my USCIS given timeframe had passed and two days later my status changed to approved!

good luck and have a nice weekend 🤞🌸

Hi Inita, I got my approval this morning. I’m so happy right now. I would like to expedite at the NVC stage too. Do you know when we have to send in the expedite for NVC stage? Is it after we receive the case number and submit documents or before?

Hi Shermuz! Wohoo, I am so happy for you 🎊👍🙏🌸

You have to wait now for NVC to send you an email with your case number. Then you can send an email to request an expedite to nvcexpedite@state.gov

I suggest you already start gathering all your documents (civil docs and AOS documents such as the I864 and tax transcripts for the last 3 tax years) and maybe look for a sample DS260 form online. That way you can already prepare the answers (believe me there are a looooot of questions 😉🙉) when you get your log on data (the mail with your case number and invoice number)

you need to log in and first pay the fees. It might take 2-3 days until your payment hits their account and that's when the allow you to start uploading docs and doing the DS260. When doing the DS260, make sure to always safe after you answered a couple of questions as the system just loves to crash and if you don't safe, all your entries are being erased... 😱

We have tried to expedite our case with NVC last week and received an email this morning that they can't forward our cases to the embassy right now because the Frankfurt embassy is closed due to the given situation. All we can do is hope and pray that this madness will come to an end soon and everything will go back to (possibly) normal...

Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞😊

Let us all know how it goes!!

Thank you so much for your help! I will wait for the case number and then request the expedite. And yeah, I really hope everything goes back to normal soon. This process is tough as it is and the current situation only makes it tougher. I hope the situation gets better and the embassy opens so that you can get your visa soon. I will pray for you. And thank you once again. I will definitely let you guys know how everything goes! 😊

Congratulations! I haven't even requested expedite at NVC yet - in my husband's country there's a full lock down and he's currently unable to obtain the police certificate :( Since we're currently going through this, maybe check in your country if you can currently get the certificate at all...

Thank you so much! I will tell him to find out. I don’t think he will be able to get the police certificate now either. My lawyer also said to wait to get the police clearance. Hopefully things start getting back to normal soon. It’s a very tough time for everyone.

It is. I was trying o fly to my husband last week simply so we can get through this together, but all flights to his country got cancelled. The airport has zero arrivals and departures.

Even if we get the certificate at some point, due to security issues the embassy in his country is closed so we'll have to travel to UAE for the interview and who knows when they will allow international travel again. It's so annoying... I understand the measures, but still...

It’s really tough. I was expecting the situation would start improving soon, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The impact of this virus is much more widespread than I had anticipated at first. I really hope things start getting back to normal.

I’m so pleased for the approvals!! One step closer to happiness!

My Mom’s petition was filed in November and we are yet to receive an approval notice. My dad works in the US and my sister (the petitioner) is relocating back to the US from the UK hence the move. Is there anyway to expedite at this stage? I’m not sure if that’s the route anyone else has taken?

Hello everyone,

I hope you all doing good and are safe. Did anyone of you filed taxes and what status did you select(single/married filing separately)? I tried to file using married filing separately but system did not allow me to submit as its asking for spouse's SSN/ITIN which I do not have it as she never been to USA. Please advise

There's an entire section here on visajourney about filing taxes during application process, check there it will help you a lot!

You can file married filing separately, and put n/a for spouses SSN/ITIN, or married filing jointly and apply for ITIN. Note that you'll have to do paper filing for that :)

Hi all! My husband and I have had another date change! We filed in November, had a date change on Feb 23rd (found out our case was moved from Texas to California). The second date change is March 31st. Has anyone else had two date changes? I’m trying not to get *too* excited but all fingers are crossed!
