Here is an update after I spoke to USCIS and inquired about my case.

Q: I received noa1 in Nov from TSC. Is Texas my service center?

A: It was but your case was transferred on 23 Feb to VSC.

Q: Why haven’t I received any notification on case transfer? My case status is still same since day1.

A: I have no idea but I see a transfer in my system.

Q: Why it was transferred ?

A: It was transferred to VSC in a bid to streamline processing.

Q: Will I be following VSC processing time or TSC processing time from my PD?

A: VSC

Q: Isn’t this transfer increased my processing time by double? Because VSC is 20months as compared to TSC 10months?

A: Both of the centers have received a lot of transfer cases and soon they will be updating their processing times.

Q: As per your answer I don’t see how these transfer in a bid to streamline processing especially if one transferred from fastest processing center to a slowest processing center.

A: I wish that I had an answer for you.

Q: Is there anything I can do or request to remain on TSC processing time?

A: Not at the moment. But we are streamlining our processes in order to improve efficiency.

Basically, "We transferred your case and we have no other answers for you at the moment. Good luck though!" That didn't seem helpful. Of course their side is going to see the transfer since it's being transferred from their end. They should have notified you without you having to contact them smh. I do hope the processing time is the same. Remember the Boundless article I posted? It said that transferred cases do not get pushed back. I wish I could find out where they are getting that information from. I am still at TSC, so when I eventually receive my NOA2, I will let you know!

Hello all. So my husband finally got a message back - our case has been moved from Texas to California. His theory is that all new online cases are being moved to the local service centre of the sponsor. Does this match up to all y’all who have been moved too? Sooooo hoping for no delays as we’re all online. We can get through this together!!!!

Not so sure about this. We filed from abroad, my husband's mailing address is in Virginia and we're moving to Hawaii. He is the only sponsor. My petition went to Texas and our sons went to Missouri....

Theory out of the window! I said to him today - I just wish we all had some clarity. It’s the unknown that I hate. Impossible to plan leave from work, when I hand in notice etc... and just generally want a reliable estimation date to look forward to.

As per previous comments - I’m wondering how much the ‘new’ estimated wait times at the service centres will change...

Yeah, I don't know what their rationale is behind this?  I live in CA and my case is in Texas and seems to still be there.  🤔

I feel you!!!! The uncertainty is the worst... I can deal with anything as long as I have facts and dealing with USCIS is nowhere that... 🤯

Hang in there kitty 🇬🇧😺 fingers crossed that all of this will soon be only a tale from the past 🤞🤞

USCIS is currently moving cases left and right - I don't see that any of the processing times are actually reliable. My understanding is that in favor of timelines, the case load in all centers is being adjusted in an effort to align processing times across centers and make it one "e-processing" center rather than disconnected silos with entirely different processing times. What underlines my theory is, that recent transfers have not seen any notifications go out to the recipients. This leads me to assume that maybe at some point we won't know the center where the case is, because it simply doesn't matter.

Are current case processing times suffering from it? Possibly. We don't know this and we will never find out. Do we need to drive ourselves crazy over this? Well - that's a choice :D

After all we are seeing approvals for random PDs which clearly make it a moot point to look at the processing time of a center. And given the size of USCIS, we will have to allow for some time for the streamlining process to be completed. I'm confident at that point, we will see more accurate and helpful estimated processing times :)

Guys!! My son's i130 just got APPROVED!!!! Just wanted to share 😍

I am so happy and relieved, almost can't believe it....

So, I'm just praying that it'll be transferred over to NVC asap where mine has been sitting since February 10th and we can ease through it together 🙏

We'll sure be requesting expedite again, so we'll see how that goes 😉

For everyone still waiting in the uncertain: my thought and prayers are with you 🧡

Hi, which service center was your application submitted to? My application is on early December and I am expecting the approval happen somewhere around May or June

Well so far so good there is no doubt as per what center my case is currently processing in.

Automated response 3rd of March: Transferred to Nebraska

Called USCIS some days ago: Transferred to Nebraska

Chatted with Emma today: Transferred to Nebraska

But with the random IOE approvals even in Nebraska of all places, something tells me IOE is becoming centralized.

Service centers won't matter in the near future of IOE.

NOTE: Right from the start no notification is sent for IOE case transfer. At best u get only NOA 1, RFE, and NOA 2. It has always been this way.

Most likely because the line is shorter

@Trish and Oli what LilyJ says is correct. For F2A the number of applicants has been lower than monthly available visa numbers for a while now. The PD to become current used to be a long wait, but all wait is gone and visa availability date has been “current” since June or July 2019.

If you look at the number of visas available you get an idea of how small the number of monthly applicants must have been throughout 2018/2018 and maybe even before, to allow for a long wait to vanish
