Hi everyone. I posted this in the September and October filers thread and wanted to post it here as well. I have been seeing some cases on FB which were transferred from TSC to other service centers after the date change without any notification. These filers had called to ask about their case and that’s when they were told their cases were transferred. No other notification or update was received online or by mail. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m starting to think that maybe those of us who had the Feb 23/Feb 24 date change had our cases transferred to another SC.

Transfer case load

When necessary, we transfer cases between our five service centers in order to balance our workload and promote timely processing. This page provides up to date information on any workload transfers that we make. You can also subscribe to the Alerts GovDelivery distribution list to receive an email each time cases are transferred. Unless we note otherwise, below is the general information for a workload transfer.

How You Will Be Affected If We Transfer Your CaseIf we transfer your case, we will send you a transfer notice. Your receipt number will not change, and the transfer will not delay the processing of your case.

Yeah, I read about many cases being transferred from Nebraska to other service centers. But this is the first time I’m hearing about cases being transferred from Texas to other service centers.

It doesn't look like any cases are being transferred out of TX... only cases being transferred out of CA and NE to various other centers.

This is from an FB group. This person’s case was supposedly transferred out of Texas.

That doesn’t make any sense though does it? I am a Texas SC and I really hope I haven’t been transferred to Nebraska as it will be an even longer wait! Surely they should only be transferring the poor Nebraska folk to the lesser waiting time SCs? It’s all so confusing, I wish we had some more answers! I’m just preying that since around October, we’re all online, it will somehow speed the whole process up!

Exactly. It doesn’t make sense. I don’t understand why they would transfer to Nebraska when they have been transferring cases out of Nebraska due to slow processing. I really hope our case wasn’t transferred there either. This wait is long enough already. I hope we don’t have to go wait even longer due to a transfer.

Some cases are unique to a particular service center.

When they come across a unique case they simply transfer to the appropriate service center for such unique case.

So that's why you see cases leaving almighty Texas to other centers and also cases going to overpopulated Nebraska service center.

Hi All,

I received a notification this morning that my RFE was received and they’re starting to work on my case again 🤗

Counting the 60 days down now haha.

Anyone else who has received an RFE or nothing yet?

Fingers crossed it’s speedy for you! 60 days isn’t too far to have on a countdown! 🤞🏼 No RFE as yet - we checked our application soooo many times before submitting but always worried we fluffed something up!

Does this mean that they will make a final decision on the I-130 within 60 days? or just that they will acknowledge the further evidence has been received within 60 days?

They already acknowledged receipt and that they continue reviewing the case with the additional evidence. The RFE letter states that I can make a case inquiry if I haven’t heard back within 60 days of responding.

Good Lord, I hope my case wasn’t transferred from Texas to Nebraska, I might just end up drinking a whole bottle of Patrón over that ... 😫
