Oh ok. Was that the first receipt you received online after filing?

No prior to this back in November I received an email notification saying the got my application and it was in process and then I got this on the 19th ! So technically I guess it’s the first receipt of notice I’ve received besides the email and the date is now updated to the 25th February , which to my knowledge any time they look at it the date changes to the day they did :)

Did you file online? I think their system still has some glitches that are being worked on. I for instance received an email (and notification online) on January 6th that an RFE was sent to me. The link under document tab gave me an error 500 and no physical mail arrived which drove me nuts. On January 30th after calling multiple times and sending a message through online account, my status updated again to RFE sent and the PDF became available (and arrived in physical mail some days later, dated January 28th)

Can anyone here answer a question for me. My passport expires in Jun 2021 what happens to my visa then in the old one ?

Are you the beneficiary and outside of the US?

Generally your visa is only for entry to the US and not needed afterwards. I believe they're single-entry visas. However, most embassies require that your passport has an expiration date min. 12 months after the visa is issued so if you don't have your visa before June this year, you might have to apply for a new passport at that time.

Does anybody know what the situation is with visiting America for 2-3 weeks during this process? My lawyer suggests against it but I'm not entirely sure why. Thanks

No reason not to travel to visit the spouse. Many have done so in the past, and many will do so in the future.

It's a bit of a gambling game, since the Officer at POE can deny entry if they suspect you might stay and try to adjust from within.

Of course a valid visa needs to exist. And be prepared having to show proof of ties/intend to return to home country.

If money is not an issue I would say it's worth a try. If denial of entry would cut a huge hole in your pocket I would probably meet elsewhere.
